My name is Miss Lourenco. This is my 10th year as a first grade teacher at Freetown Elementary. I graduated from Bridgewater State University with a double major in Elementary Education and English. A few years later I got my Masters degree as a Reading Specialist.
I truly love being a teacher.
You will get to know me very well during our year together. Our classroom is movie-themed because I love going to the movies and of course getting popcorn and snacks. Some of my favorite things to do are read, write, draw, dance, and take pictures. I can't wait to hear about all the things you love, too. We're going to have an awesome year!
Hi! My name is Mrs. Hughes and this is my 7th year as the Special Education teacher at FES, and 16th year as an educator! I attended Plymouth State University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I later attended UMass Boston and earned my Master’s degree in Educational Administration.
I am so grateful for my FES colleagues and students who have made it my home away from home!
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our daughter Sofia, our dog Jetty and our chickens! We love to go boating, both locally and up North.
I love to read, go for hikes and bake!
Hi, I’m Mrs. Duffy, the first grade paraprofessional. I have been an educator for 26 years and this is my 11th year working as a paraprofessional at FES! I have a BS in social work from Bridgewater State University and a masters in Elementary Education (k-6) from Southern Connecticut University.
My husband and I have two girls, a Golden Retriever named Truman, and Maddie our calico kitty. We love spending summers at our lake house on the Canadian border in Vermont.
I look forward to meeting you all!
