In this lesson, we will focus on the elements of art and design: LINE + COLOR.  Inspired by the beautiful homes of the Ndebele Tribe and the works of Esther Mahlangu, we will create a painting using tape resistance.  

Directions:

1. Create a boarder around your paper with masking tape 

2. Tear smaller pieces of tape

3. Place  on your paper to create: VERTICAL, HORIZONTAL,  and DIAGONAL  lines 

4. Use Kwik Stix and Do-a-Dot to paint area inside the tape

5. Trace tape with black marker

6. Remove tape
