In this lesson, we will focus on the elements of art: LINE and COLOR. Students will create artwork using VERTICAL, HORIZONTAL, + DIAGONAL lines . Then they will finish their artwork by painting using the primary colors: RED, YELLOW, + BLUE.

Supplies:

• 9x12 watercolor paper

• Black paint

• Cardboard

• Red, yellow, + blue oil pastels

Directions:

1. Using black paint + the straight edge of a piece of cardboard fill your paper with lines:

   1. • Vertical

      • Horizontal

      • Diagonal

2. Allow paint to dry

3. Color sections using primary colors

4. Post to Artsonia
