In this lesson, we will focus on the elements of art: LINE and COLOR. Students will create a variety of LINES in our picture and then color inside the lines using paint.

Supplies:

• 9x12 Watercolor paper

• Black crayon

• White crayon

• Tempera cakes

• Paint brushes

• Water cup

Directions:

1. Using a black crayon, create a:

   1. • boarder using horizontal and vertical lines

      • variety of different types of lines inside your boarder

2. Using a white crayon create different "secret lines"

3. Paint inside the boarder using tempera cakes

4. Be creative, explore mixing different colors together!
