Using the works of Jim Dine as our inspiration, students will make their own unique heart.

Supplies:

• 4x4 drawing paper

• Heart tracer (K+1)

• pencil + eraser

• coloring supply (choose one)

  • • crayons

    • markers

    • colored pencils

    • pastels

Directions:

• With a pencil, draw a heart so that it fills the paper (grades 2-5)

• Color the the background of the 4x4 paper using one color

  • You can add patterns and textures to make it more interesting

• Color the heart using the COMPLEMENTARY COLOR of your background

• Glue heart to 4x4 paper (K + 1)

• Outline heart with black marker as many times as you would like

• Post to Artsonia (School Access Code: HDSD-WRBF)

• Hand into your teacher or drop it off in the art bin outside the school so Mrs. Kolodziej can display in our hallways!
