American + Australian Art Directors
Leta Sobierajski and Wade Jeffree are an artistic duo that create fun abstract designs using a wide variety of mediums. They have a unique style that brings together graphic design, photography, web design, and sculpture. Their collaborative artworks are known for their explosive color and optimistic energy.
Leta was born and raised in upstate New York. At an early age, Leta was inspired by Anime and started drawing her own fan art, specifically looking at Sailor Moon for inspiration. She started to experiment with photoshop, photography, and HTML. After editing and designing her entire high school yearbook, she knew she wanted to be an artist and was accepted to Purchase College for Graphic Design.
Wade was born and raise in Melbourne, Australia. As a child, he was inspired by the video games he played and would create characters out of cardboard. In high school, he took a Design coarse where he explored woodwork, metalwork, and art. He also participated in an after school program where he learned about art and designed and participated in internships.
The two met through a match on OKCupid. They knew after two dates, that they had not only met the love of their life, but also their work partner. They married and in 2016 started their own studio based in Brooklyn, New York.
Leta and Wade continue to create new works of art both together and as individual artists. Their clients include: Google, Gucci, The New York Times, and Target...just to name a few.
Using the works of Leta Sobierajski + Wade Jeffreeas our inspiration, students will create colorful paper sculptures.
