Message from Miss Holmes
It was wonderful to see so many families joining us for our Sports Morning. The children demonstrated a wide range of excellent sporting skills, all underpinned by our school learning values, including teamwork, resilience and respect. We were incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and determination shown by everyone involved.
A huge thank you to Mrs Rigby for organising such a fantastic event and ensuring the morning ran so smoothly. It was also lovely to welcome the Year 6 children from the Junior School, who were brilliant helpers and excellent role models for our pupils throughout the event. Their support was greatly appreciated and helped make the morning such a success.
Learning This Week
This week the children have taken part in Sports Day! They have enjoyed the variety of activities such as javelin, egg and spoon and relay racing. The children loved showing off all the skills they have learnt over the year. We hope you had as much fun as they did!Â
This week, the children have loved creating their own imaginary animals in writing. Next week, they will be taking their learning further by researching the two animals they have combined and creating fact files for their new creatures using real facts from each animal.
We were also incredibly impressed with the children's teamwork and determination during Sports Day. We definitely have some future Olympic javelin throwers and we saw some incredible balancing in KS1!
Their enthusiasm, encouragement of one another and sporting spirit were wonderful to see. Well done KS1, we are so proud of you! Â
🌟Talent Week!🌟
We are excited to announce our Talent Week, taking place from Monday 13th July.
Children will take part in class auditions during the week beginning 6th July, where they can showcase a special talent. Each class will select one winner, who will then go on to perform in our Collective Reflections, sharing their talent with the wider school.
We are looking forward to celebrating the wonderful skills and creativity across our school!

We would like to remind parents that we are a nut free school. We have members of both the staff and student community who are anaphylactic to nuts of all varieties. This includes obvious things like hazelnut spread in sandwiches, but also many types of cereal bars and biscuits also contain nuts. Please check the ingredients list of all food items that you send into school.Â

Attendance Guide for Parents / Carers
What YOU must do:
Try to telephone the school before 8.30am each day of your child’s absence.
Tell the school in advance, of any medical appointments and bring in appointment cards/letters.
If you are not sure whether your child is well enough to attend school, send them in anyway as they often perk up on arrival.
If you and your child are experiencing difficulties with school attendance then talk to us as a first step so we can help!
Â
What WE will do:
Check your child’s attendance every day.
Phone home to discuss your child’s attendance with you.
Invite you into school for attendance meetings if we are concerned.
If we cannot establish a reason for absence, or your child is absent for more than two days then we may make a welfare home visit.
