Learning This Week
This week in Early Years the children have been exploring water and how precious it is to Christians for baptism.
This week in Year 1 the children have been learning about mechanisms. After experimenting and carefully drawing a plan, they brought their plans to life! The children created their own moving part with either a leaver or a slider. They displaying fantastic creativity and made some lovely, imaginative moving pictures. Well done, Year 1!
This week, we’ve been diving into the world of speeches as the children prepare to write their own on the topic: Who is the real villain in Jack and the Beanstalk?
To help them get ready, the children have explored the speeches given by the crayons in, "The Day the Crayons Quit", thinking carefully about what makes a great speech. They identified key features and even started using them in their own writing.
Year 2 have had a fantastic term and we are so proud of everything they’ve achieved. Have a wonderful and restful half term!

Nut Free School
We would like to remind parents that we are a nut free school. We have members of both the staff and student community who are anaphylactic to nuts of all varieties. This includes obvious things like hazelnut spread in sandwiches, but also many types of cereal bars and biscuits also contain nuts. Please check the ingredients list of all food items that you send into school.

Tell the school in advance, of any medical appointments and bring in appointment cards/letters.
If you are not sure whether your child is well enough to attend school, send them in anyway as they often perk up on arrival.

What WE will do:
Check your child’s attendance every day.
