Learning This Week
This week in EYFS, the children have been thinking about Ganesh and Power. They talked about different powerful things like storms, elephants and diggers. Then they thought about how they were powerful, and created paintings to show the power.
This week in Year 1 the children have finished their amazing art work. They have each made a wonderful street scene using a variety of skills such as, printing, collage and painting.
This week, the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the book Poems Out Loud. They focused on the poem Angry and examined how the writer used similes to express animal emotions. The children had fun acting out the poem and delving into the vocabulary.
During guided reading, the children have taken on the role this term of travel agents, thinking creatively about the responsibilities of the job and the different countries people travel to—both hot and cold destinations. They stayed engaged and enthusiastic, ensuring everyone was actively participating in their tasks. Well done year 2 for a fabulous term!

Tell the school in advance, of any medical appointments and bring in appointment cards/letters.
If you are not sure whether your child is well enough to attend school, send them in anyway as they often perk up on arrival.
If you and your child are experiencing difficulties with school attendance then talk to us as a first step so we can help!
What WE will do:
Check your child’s attendance every day.
Phone home to discuss your child’s attendance with you.
