Sound Grammar helps students learn grammar by providing free animated conversations that focus on various key grammar points. Each level comes with a free workbook of printable lessons which teachers and students can use for in-class activities, self-study, or homework.
STAR平台是一個網上評估系統，能給予學生和教師評估報告作回饋。教師可因應學生的學習需要和進度，並配合校內的評估機制靈活運用，從而提高學生的學習成效。STAR平台的功能包括：
2016/17學年，「學生評估」系統升級至STAR平台。STAR平台提供一系列新功能，以推動促進學習的評估及幫助教師善用評估資料提升學生的學習。新平台可於不同電腦裝置使用，包括平板電腦、手提電腦及桌面電腦。教師可運用該平台，以製作評估課業給個別學生或班別，以及取得學生表現報告。同時，根據報告及學生成績表現，並參考教育局的「網上學與教支援」網站，提供適切的跟進以提升各學生的學習效能。
STAR平台評估範圍包括中文、英文和數學。網上評估項目根據各學習階段的基本能力。
There are two levels for students to choose from:
Students are encouraged to opt for a level that is suitable to their abilities.
TVNews exercises are built on local news videos, testing students' vocabulary and comprehension of the videos. The exercises are delivered through a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).
There are 4 items in each News Practice (called 'Module' in the VLE):
There are marks allocated for different items in each News Practice (Module). Students with the highest marks in each phase and level will get awarded.
In the VLE, there is a trial module for students to familiarise themselves with the navigation and format of a News Practice. Students' work in this trial module does not affect their overall results.
Students can also check their completed work and progress through 'Grades' in the VLE.
Teachers can view the performance statistics of their studentsfor each module.
Meanwhile, teachers also can view the practices as a student in the VLE.
Local news videos in English and Chinese are available.
甚麼是「網上學與教支援」？
「網上學與教支援」由教育局設立，是「基本能力評估」計畫的一部份。
目的
就中、英、數三科課程內的「基本能力」，為學生及教師提供支援，以幫助學生掌握所需的基本能力。
支援模式
提供一些學生學習有關課題時可能出現的學習困難讓教師參考；
因應列出的學習困難，發展相應的互動練習/遊戲，作為學生網上自學的材料；
因應列出的學習困難，建議相應的跟進措施及學與教活動/材料，並適當地附以有關的示例供教師選用或參考。
使用須知
在運用「網上學與教支援」的活動建議及學與教材料時，須注意下列事項：
所有羅列的學生學習困難只屬參考性質，教師宜參考從不同途徑(例如課堂觀察、日常課業、校內測考、「學生評估」及「全港性系統評估」等)所得有關學生的學習顯證，以決定跟進的內容及方法，從而改善學生的學習；
教師可改動有關的活動建議及學與教材料，以照顧不同學習能力學生的需要，加強其適切性；
教師亦可考慮自行發展建議的學與教活動/材料，以照顧學生的需要、興趣和能力。

甚麼是「基本能力評估」？
「基本能力評估」包括「學生評估」及「系統評估」(一般稱為「全港性系統評估」)兩個部分。
「學生評估」是一個網上的評估資源庫，通過互聯網提供服務幫助教師了解學生在中國語文、英國語文及數學科第一至第三學習階段基本能力的學習表現，學校可自由選用這個服務去幫助找出學生的強項和需要改善的地方。教師可透過網址 https://www.bca.hkeaa.edu.hk/ 取得更多資料及使用是項服務。
