Throughout the Year

8-8-18 It's Go Time! We were super excited to start our first day of school. Our class is following the Nest Model by having 3 students with autism and 12 neuro-typical peers. Students in 1st Grade can have up to 4 autistic (16 total) per class in the model, so we have one spot open in case someone moves into our school-zone.

The first day was a whirl-wind and it's usually difficult to remember what happens that day. We have an unwritten rule at our school that if everyone gets on the right bus at the end of the day, then it was a great first day!

Our day WAS great, and it wasn't just because everyone ended up where they were supposed to be. (Although that definitely helps!😆)
