Malaria

This unit focuses on the global issue of malaria. Malaria is a disease passed to humans from a parasite that lives in mosquitoes. It can be life threatening but, it is preventable and curable. The estimated number of malaria deaths stood at 435,000 in 2017 (World Health Organisation).

We will be working towards achievement standard 2.7 - Explain aspects of a geographic topic at a global scale.
