Meet Mrs. Kurek
Hi! My name is Melinda Kurek and I'm so excited to be your teacher this year. I grew up in Washington Township but moved to Mullica Hill in 2013. In 2006 I graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in Elementary Education and Biology. I also completed the Special Education Certification program at Rowan University in 2010, so I have teaching certificates in Elementary Education (K-6), Secondary Biology, and Special Education. This year will be my 18th year teaching, my 16th year in Franklin Township, and my FIRST year teaching fifth and sixth grade!!!
I live at home with my husband and coonhound/foxhound rescue, Dixie-Mae. My husband and I were married in 2014 and we rescued Dixie from the Gloucester County Animal Shelter in 2015. Between them and school, I don't have time for many hobbies, but I do enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling when I get the chance, crafting with my Cricut, puzzles, and cooking!
My husband and me with our nephews and niece!
