Students will enter the classroom, eat breakfast if ordered, and grab a morning bin to bring to their table.

Students will work in whole group for the i-ready math curriculum. 

Students will visit their special areas during this time. 

Students will eat snack during this time. Please be sure to provide an easy to open snack for your lovebug! Students will be pulled who need additional support, need to complete make up work, etc.

This block will be broken down into Writing, Phonics, and Centers. Social Studies will be integrated into the ELA curriculum. 

Weather permitted, students will be going outside for recess. Please remember to wear jackets on cooler days! Playground is monitored by myself and other first grade teachers during this time. 

Please pack easy to open lunches for students as they do have a limited time to eat! Students may also buy lunch in the cafeteria. Menus will be provided at the beginning of each month. 

Students will work in math and ELA centers during this time. 

Students will be working on Thematic Units geared towards different science and social studies themes. Programs like Mystery Science will be utilized. 

We will meet at the carpet in our classroom and discuss calm down techniques, work on communicating skills, and give each other shout outs! SEL based learning utilizing programs such as Character Strong. 

Students will pack up and head home for the day!
