Meet Your Teacher

Hello and welcome to TEAM 20!  I am so excited to be with you this school year!

My name is Mrs. Iocona.  I am from Pilesgrove Twp., NJ where I reside with my husband and two children Brianna (16 yrs.) and Chase (13 yrs.).   In my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening, traveling, boating, watching Chase and Brianna do what they love, spending time with family and friends.  We have two pets, our dog Toby and our cat Pepper.  I love baseball and the Phillies, especially former Phillies player Chase Utley and current player J.T. Realmuto.   I also love hot air balloons as you will see in our classroom.   This will be my tenth year at Janvier and eighth year in 1st grade.  I am excited to greet a new group of friends this year.  1st grade is an amazing grade to teach because there is just so much growth in firsties academically and socially from September to June!

 In First grade, I hope my students take away a love for learning and discovery, an understanding that mistakes are a part of the learning process, and the confidence to DREAM BIG!  

I am here to support both you and your children in anyway that I can.  As a parent myself, I am right there with you balancing family and work obligations.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
