Hello, everyone! My name is Ms. Caiazzo, and I couldn't be more excited to be your coding teacher right here in the heart of the Franklin Square School District!
My educational journey began at Sacred Heart University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and later pursued my passion for teaching by completing a Master of Arts in Teaching (Childhood Education). With my New York State certification in elementary education, I embarked on a mission to shape young minds and ignite their curiosity for learning.
Having a background in STEAM and educational technology, I've always been fascinated by the intersection of innovation and education. After college, I returned to my roots in New York, where I was incredibly fortunate to land a teaching position in the very district where my own educational journey began - a community that played a pivotal role in shaping the person I am today. As a dedicated member of this community, I am deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of learners and preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
Teaching coding goes far beyond just programming; it's about empowering students to harness the power of technology to solve problems, express creativity, and make a positive impact on the world. My mission is to inspire students to become CREATORS rather than consumers of technology in today's digital world. As a coding teacher, I envision a future where our students, by the time they reach middle school, are creating games instead of merely playing them. I am excited to embark on this coding journey with you all and empower you to become future innovators and leaders in the digital world.
