Franklin Community Middle School & Custer Baker Intermediate School Bands offer the band students a full range of experiences that create a lifetime of memories. Both schools are located south of Indianapolis in Franklin, Indiana. The FCMS Band has earned the ISSMA All-Music Award six times. Twenty-Three students have been inducted into the Indiana Jr. All-State Band and Fifty-two band students have performed at the ISSMA State Solo & Ensemble contest. In the past decade the band has earned consistent Gold Ratings in both Concert Band and Jazz Band with six of those Gold Ratings earning “Gold with Distinction”. Our National Anthem Project gives students the opportunity to perform at school sporting events and our National Anthem Honors Group has performed for the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Indianapolis Indians, and the Indy Fuel. The Franklin Community Middle School band was a featured performing group at the 2009 AMLE National Convention.
