Wednesday- "I can create and analyze multi-tiered timelines" Read and Complete Pages 6,7 in your student workbook


Thursday- "I can use multiple-tiered timelines to show relationships among events and places." Using completed page 7, answer the questions on Page 8 to analyze events in Joey's Life that were directly effected by the events in Joey's Town.


Friday-Continue Page 8.

Week 2 (Sept. 7- Sept. 11)

Monday- Labor Day- No School


Tuesday- "I can create and analyze Multi-tiered Timelines" Online Textbook Pages 9 and 10


Wednesday- Readworks Article: "Thawing the Iceman" introduction to Early People and how archaeologists learn about history.


Thursday- Chapter 1-1 Early Humans Worksheet/Article Posted to Google Classroom.


Friday- 9/11 Activities (Brain Pop Video-9/11)

Week 3 (Sept. 14- Sept. 18)

"I can use Latitude and longitude to identify absolute location"

Monday- Introduction video to Latitude and Longitude posted on Google Classroom. Assigned Pages 20,21 of Workbook to check for understanding.

Tuesday- Pages 22,23 of Student Workbook. This will have students practice finding locations on a map using latitude and longitude.


Wednesday- Latitude/Longitude Scavenger Hunt- Please use the attached document and go through pages 20-23 and highlight/circle the important information that is asked. Each section has you trying to find/locate different important material in your workbook.


Thursday- World Map: Latitude and Longitude Quiz. Please use Pages 20-23 in your workbook to help with the latitude and longitude quiz attached to Google Classroom.


Friday-Chapter 3 Crossword Puzzle/Vocabulary. Please use your wrokbook (Pages 20-23) to write out the definitions of important concepts for Chapter 3. There is also a crossword puzzle that goes along with the definitions page.

Week 4 (Sept. 21- Sept. 25)

Monday-Latitude/Longitude Guided Notes Page with attached Worksheets. Please read and look at the diagrams for the Notes Page and then answer the questions that were posted to Google Classroom. This will be review from last week.


Tuesday- Readworks: The Variation of Maps. Please sign on to Readworks using the link on Google Classroom and read/Listen to the article about the different types of Maps. Then, answer the questions that follow.


Wednesday- Chapter 4 (Maps) Please complete Pages 24, 25 in your student workbook. Read the material and use that to help answer the questions.


Thursday- Chapter 4 Vocabulary. Check Google Classroom for an attached Chapter 4 Vocabulary Page. Please write the definitions of the vocabulary words on the lines provided. These can be found on page 24 in your workbook. This will help with your assignment tomorrow as well.


Friday- Chapter 4 Study Guide and Crossword Puzzle. Use Page 26 to read the information and answer the Cause and Effect Questions at the bottom of the page. I have also attached a vocabulary crossword puzzle- Use yesterday's definitions to match them up with the words on this assignment.

Week 5 (Sept. 28-Oct. 2)

Monday- Please use the pages for Chapter 4 (Pages 24-29 in your student workbook) to complete the Chapter 4 Study Guide that is attached on Google Classroom. We will discuss answers in class later this week.


Tuesday- Chapter 4 Gallopade online curriculum quiz. Please visit Google Classroom for details and login information to log on to your online curriculum and complete the Chapter 4 Quiz.


Wednesday- Page 30. Please Complete Page 30 in your workbook which discusses the use of charts and graphs to gather information. Anyone that was unable to sign on to Gallopade Chapter 4 ExperTrack quiz needs to try again today.


Thursday- Make-Up Day. Please check Progressbook for any missing assignment. Please Email me if you are unable to sign in to your Progressbook Account.


Friday- Chapter 5 Scavenger Hunt/Vocabulary. Please use your Social Studies workbook to complete the attached pages. Pages 30-32 will be used in your workbook.

Scavenger Hunt: Follow the directions and complete each step (This is NOT a multiple choice assignment)

Vocabulary Page: Write the definition to each of the vocabulary words- You will need to use Chp. 5 in your workbook to find the words and the definitions that go with them.

Week 6 ( Oct. 5- Oct. 9)

Monday- Chapter 5 Vocabulary Crossword Puzzle: Use your vocabulary definition Page from Friday to help you fill out the crossword puzzle for your Chapter 5 Vocabulary Words.


Tuesday- Complete Page 32 in your student workbook. This is the final page of Chapter 5 and checks your skills on Analyzing Data with Charts and Graphs. We will begin a study guide this week that will involve Pages 30-32.


Wednesday- Continue working on Page 32. Take a screen shot and attach it to the assignment I created on Google Classroom.

Week 7 (Oct. 12- Oct. 16)

Monday- Chapter 2 Scavenger Hunt in your workbook. Check Google Classroom for the instructions page. You will need to highlight, draw circles, stars, etc.. In your workbook. Each step has you do a different step so please read the directions carefully.


Tuesday-Chapter 2 Vocabulary. Check your book for the definitions to the terms given. Please write the definitions next to the word in the Boxes Provided.


Wednesday- North/Central America Map Game on Seterra. Please check your Google Classroom for a link to Practice placing the countries into the correct location. Use the map I posted yesterday to help you initially. CNN10.


Thursday-Chapter 2 Vocabulary and Crossword. Please use your vocabulary words in the book to fill out the crossword Puzzle. CNN10.


Friday- Continue the Chapter 2 Crossword Puzzle and Vocabulary Definitions.

Week 8 (Oct. 19- Oct. 23)

Monday- Remote Monday Chapter 2 Scavenger Hunt with Student Book. Highlight, Circle, Draw Stars for each step listed in your Student Book.


Tuesday-Election Wordsearch/Campaign. Create your own Campaign using the document that was attached on Google Classroom.


Wednesday- Continue Working on Your Election Campaign


Thursday- Complete Missing Assignments for end of the 9 Weeks.


Friday-Complete Missing Assignments for the end of the 9 Weeks.

Week 9 (Oct. 26-Oct.30)

Monday- Readworks: Who are the Citizens of the U.S.?


Tuesday-Continue Readworks: Who are the Citizens of the U.S.? Also please read over and complete the three questions on the page titled "Important Parts of a Map"- This will discuss Keys/Legends on a Map, Titles, Scale, and Compass Rose.


Wednesday-BrainPop- Please sign in to Google Classroom for information regarding a BrainPop Video/Quiz about Voting Rights and Responsibilities.


Thursday- Readworks: "The What and Who of Elections"


Friday-Continue working on your Missing Assignments from the week.

Week 11 (Nov. 9- Nov. 13)

Monday- Chapter 6 Vocabulary Crossword Puzzle. Please use the vocabulary words from Chapter 6 in your workbook (Pages 33-38) to match the definitions with the Vocabulary words to complete the crossword puzzle.

Tuesday- Veterans' Day BrainPop: Please watch the video by clicking on the link on Google Classroom. After watching the video, complete the Google Form Quiz that I sent with the assignment.


Wednesday- Veterans' Day- No School


Thursday-Continue working on page 33 Paragraph: Would you be for or against building a Community College in your city. Explain why or why not.


Friday- Continue working on any missing assignments- Interim Reports go out in a week.
