About Mrs. Lucas
Mrs. Lucas is originally from Perry County and retired from New Lexington High School in 2015. She has lived in Franklin Local School District since 1981 and had 2 children (Tommy & Julie) graduate from Philo High School. She began substitute teaching at PHS in 2016. In 2017, she began teaching full time at Philo. She currently serves as advisor for Spanish Club, ASL Club, & Fellowship of Christian Students/ Athletes. For information about these clubs, please speak with any member or Mrs. Lucas.
One of her favorite activities is spending time with her grandchildren --Brent & Reagan (Julie's), Elizabeth (Tommy's), Leon, Ronan, Ellie, Theo, Emma, & Arthur (Heather's). Before COVID guidelines hit us, she often hosted monthly "Game Nights" at her house with family and friends and looks forward to scheduling those again as soon as possible! When she's not playing with the kids, she enjoys reading, traveling, learning, cooking, and gardening. Mrs. Lucas is a christian and attends the Norval Park Church of Christ in Zanesville.
