Welcome!

 Mrs. Gibbons has been teaching in Franklin Lakes since 2012. She began her career as a leave replacement teacher, and has since taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade. She has a passion for creating a connection with each student that enters her classroom. She believes in encouraging each student to find their own voice, explore their passions, and share their ideas. Having a positive and respectful learning environment is very important to her.

Mrs. Gibbons graduated from William Paterson University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She also received a degree in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Psychology and History. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in Educational Leadership with a speciality in reading and literacy instruction.

Teaching Philosophy

Mrs. Gibbons's philosophy of education is that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating learning environment. She aims to provide an environment that is safe, supportive of risk taking, and invites the sharing of ideas. It is her desire to help her students meet their fullest potential.
