About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Mr. DiMichele. This is my third year at Franklin Avenue Middle School. However, this will be my 11th year teaching!! I have been through many different school districts at different levels. I previously taught in Wyckoff at Eisenhower Middle School teaching 6th grade Social Studies. I have also taught previously at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, Bergenfield High School and John F. Kenndedy High School in Paterson. In 2023-2024 school year, I created FAMS first ever chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. I am also one of the coaches for track here at FAMS. 

My love for teaching stretches back as far as I can remember. I would watch History channel and the Military channel all the time watching various documentaries on all kinds of world and U.S. history. I always loved anything history growing up and always participated the most in any of my Social Studies classroom. I had the most amazing Social Studies teachers growing up they inspired me to want to learn and teach just like them. I visit many historical sites every year and I am constantly reading and learning more about all kinds of history everyday. I attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where I graduated both with my Bachelor's degree in History and my Master's degree in Education. 

I am an avid world traveler as well! I bring all of my experiences I have learned to the classroom. I am excited to continue my teaching journey here at FAMS and be a part of such a wonderful community. My door is always open to students and parents. I am more than willing to assist as needed and I can't wait to inspire, motivate and educate our amazing students!
