Career Cluster information
The Hospitality and Tourism Career Cluster focuses on the management, marketing, and operations of restaurants and other food/beverage services, lodging, attractions, recreation events, and travel-related services. Students acquire knowledge and skills focusing on communication, time management, and customer service that meet industry standards. Students will explore the history of the hospitality and tourism industry and examine characteristics needed for success.

CTE STUDENT ORganization
Students enrolled in CTE courses have the opportunity to participate in a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) appropriate to the courses in which they are enrolled. CTSOs promote leadership development, and job skill training, and can provide scholarships.

Franklin ISD offers career and technical education programs in. Admission to these programs is based on student interest, grade, level of appropriateness, and class availability. It is the policy of Franklin ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. It is the policy of Franklin ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, handicap, or age in its employment practices as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Franklin ISD will take steps to assure that lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation in all educational and vocational programs.
