Students at Franklin High School may simultaneously obtain college credit and high school credit through an agreement between Blinn College and Franklin ISD. Blinn faculty teaches courses virtually to students at high school campuses. In order to be enrolled in a dual credit course, students must have at least a "B" average in completed FHS coursework, meet College Readiness Standards with the TSIA 2.0 in English Language Arts test, and pay the required tuition to Blinn College before the course begins. The agreement between Blinn College and Franklin ISD includes the following points:
Students must meet all of Franklin ISD’s attendance and academic requirements.
Franklin ISD students must have passed the TSIA 2.0 in English Language Arts test (or be exempt).
The grade earned by the student will be defined by the grading policies of Franklin ISD and Blinn College.
