Scholarships

Alpha Delta Kappa is an organization of teachers which strives to promote teacher education, altruistic projects, and also sponsors scholarships for those who are interested in the teaching profession. Kentucky Chi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa in Frankfort presents three scholarships each year, named in honor of charter members. Below you can find the details for each scholarship and the corresponding application. Recipients will be recognized by the Chapter at the May meeting.

Jennie Whitaker Scholarship

Given to a high school senior who plans to major in education. Applications will be accepted from Frankfort High School, Franklin County High School, Western Hills High School, Woodford County High School, and Frankfort Christian Academy.

Nora McCarty Scholarship

Given to a college student who is continuing their degree in education.

Millie Ayer Scholarship

Given to an active teacher who is continuing their education or has a special project for their classroom. The teacher may or may not be a member of the sorority.
