ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION & OUTDOOR CLUB
The Franklin High School Environmental Science & Outdoor (ECO) Club has one of the largest membership of all co-curricular offerings at Franklin High School. The club is flexible in its design and diverse in its opportunities, which allows for excitement and participation from just about all FHS students, regardless of how busy they might be with other commitments. The club's framework focuses on 3 areas to help instill a sense of appreciation for the outdoors for its members ... Environmental service, educational, and recreational opportunities. We operate all year and have many varying adventures throughout the seasons. Come join us on our journey!
The Franklin ECO Club provides students the opportunity to gain public relations experience and community service accomplishments throughout the year. A service activity is planned at least once a month, (but usually more often). Students must complete one service activity before qualifying to attend any recreational activities.
ECO also provides members the opportunity to increase their awareness of environmental issues or teach others about them. At least one educational activity is planned each month.
The ECO Club has many recreational outings throughout the year for students to appreciate the environment they help preserve.
