2025/04/15- GESALTZAKO AÑANA
Apirilaren 15ean, Turismoko lehen mailako ikasleak El Roble Verde Kanpinera irteera bat egin genuen, eta Irenek ostatu turistiko batean nola lan egin azaldu zigun. Ondoren, Gesaltzara joan ginen, eta bertan Noelia eta Cristinak bisita gidatu oso interesgarria egin ziguten.
Irteera honen helburua baliabide turistiko batek eta landa-ostatu batek nola funtzionatzen duen bertatik bertara ezagutzea izan da, eta, dudarik gabe, lortu baino gehiago izan da. On 15th April, the first year Tourism students went on an outing to El Roble Verde Campsite, where Irene explained to us how to work in a tourist accommodation. Afterwards, we went to Salinas de Añana, where Noelia and Cristina gave us a very interesting guided tour.
The aim of this outing was to get to know first-hand how a tourist resource and a rural accommodation work, and without a doubt this was more than achieved. It was a very useful and motivating experience, as it allowed us to apply and better understand the contents learned in class. In addition, the explanations of the three professionals conveyed their passion for the work they do, which made the day even more inspiring.
We would like to thank the three of them (Cristina, Noelia and Irene) for dedicating their time to us and for carrying out their work in an exceptional way.

Apirilaren 8an eta 9an, Avanzako azoka eginz en Europa Biltzar Jauregiko Green Capital aretoan, lanbide-heziketako hainbat kurtsoei buruzko informazioa emateko. Araba osoko hainbat zentro ezberdin beraien standak propioekin parte hartu zuten, eta bisitariei haien ikastaroak ezagutzeko aukera eskaini zieten.
Turismoko Goi Mailako ikasleak bezala, azokaren antolatzaile-taldeko kide izateko zortea izan genuen, beraiekin lan egiten. Gure zereginak azokan honakoak izan ziren; parte-hartzaileen sarbidearen kudeaketa eta Avanza markako poltsen banaketa aretoan zehar.

On April 8th and 9th, the Green Capital Hall at the Europa Conference Center hosted the Avanza fair, an event dedicated to providing comprehensive information about various vocational training programs. Several educational institutions from the Álava region participated with their own stands, offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about different courses firsthand.
As students of the Higher Degree in Tourism, we were fortunate to be part of the organizing team for the event, working as hosts. Our tasks included managing attendee access and distributing promotional bags featuring the Avanza branding.
We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Raquel Arozarena for giving us the opportunity to take part in this valuable experience. We also commend her excellent work in organizing a successful event that took place in a warm and collaborative atmosphere.

Martxoaren 21ean, turismoko lehen mailako ikasleok Bibat Museoa bisitatzeko aukera izan genuen, Arabako Arkeologia Museoa eta Fournier Karta Museoa batzen dituena. Lehenik eta behin, Izaskun Arabako Arkeologia Museoan zehar bisita gidatu bat egin zigun. Bertan, Historiaurreari buruzko azalpenak eman zizkigun eta, ondoren, Karta Museoa bisitatu ahal izan genuen. Bertan, bere historia eta erabiltzen dituzten teknikak azaldu zizkiguten eta mundu osoko karta ezberdinak ikusi ahal izan genituen.

On March 21st, the first-year tourism students had the opportunity to visit the Bibat Museum, a fusion of the Álava Archaeology Museum and the Fournier Playing Card Museum. First, Izaskun gave us a guided tour of the Álava Archaeology Museum, where she explained prehistory. Then, we were able to visit the Playing Card Museum, where they explained their history and the different techniques they use. We were able to see different playing cards from around the world.
We would like to thank Izaskun for giving us the guided tour, thanks to which we learned a lot.

Pasa den martxoaren 19an, Turismoko Goi Mailako 1. mailako ikasleek Bastidako bisita gidatua egiteko aukera izan zuten, bertako kaleetan zehar ibiliz eta herriak duen historia guztia ezagutuz, bisita gidatua egiteaz arduratu zen Nagore, arabar errioxaren enpresaburu bat.
Turismo bulegoan hasi zen bisita eta bertan nola funtzionatzen duen eta egiten duten lana ezagutu genuen. Andre Mariaren eliza eta Bastidako Andre Mariaren baseliza ere bisitatu genituen.
Bisita honi esker Arabako Errioxako herriaren historiaren zati handi bat ezagutu eta ikasi ahal izan dugu.

On March 19th, the first-year students of Tourism had the opportunity to take a guided tour of Bastida. During the tour, we learned about the history of the town, walking through its streets and discovering its heritage.
The day began at the tourist office, where we were informed about how it works and what its role is. We then visited two iconic landmarks: the Church of Santa María and the Basilica of Santa María of Bastida.
Thanks to this experience, we were able to learn a great deal about the history of this town in Rioja Alavesa.
We would like to express our gratitude to Nagore, a businesswoman from Rioja Alavesa, for the guided tour and all the valuable advice she gave us.
2025/03/11 - ARABAKO MENDIALDEKO ASFALTO NATURALAK
Pasa den asteartean, martxoak 11, Turismoko lehenengo mailako ikasleek Arabako Mendialdeko Kuadrilla bisitatzeko aukera izan genuen. Lehenik eta behin, Ataurin egon ginen Mina Lucía bisitatzen, asfalto naturalen meategia bat. Barrutik ikusi ahal izan genuen eta bere historiari buruz gehiago jakin. Arraia-Maeztun ere ikusi ahal izan genuen aurreko egunerokotasuna nolakoa zen erakusten zuen mural parte-hartzaile bat. Bisita bukatzeko, Antoñanan egon ginen eta bertan Vasco Navarro Trenaren Bide Berde Zaharraren historiari buruz gehiago jakiteko aukera izan genuen eta Vasco Navarro Bide Berdearen Interpretazio Zentroa barrutik ezagutzeko aukera ere izan genuen. 11/03/2025 -NATURAL ASPHALTS OF MONTAÑA ALAVESA
On March 11th, the first-year Guidance, Information, and Tourist Assistance students had the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the natural asphalt of the Alava Mountains. The guide who accompanied us throughout the tour was Arantxa, with the collaboration of Oscar at the Vasco-Navarre Railway Greenway Interpretation Center.
To begin the tour, we visited the Mina Lucia mine in Atauri, then went to Arraia-Maeztu to see the mural created by Irantzu Lekue and the old train station, now converted into the town hall. Afterwards, we moved to the original location of the town's tile and bread factories, where the old Atauri train station is being refurbished to become the interpretation center for the natural asphalt of the Alava Mountains. Finally, we visited the Vasco-Navarre Railway Greenway Interpretation Center, better known as the "Treniko," in Antoñana.
We'd like to thank Arantxa for her excellent work and for her closeness to the group. She also gave us advice on various situations a guide might encounter, adapting some of them to the target audience, based on her personal experience.

Joan den otsailaren 28an, gure lankide Zuriñek, Francisco de Vitoria BHIko turismoko lehen urteko ikaslea, hitzaldi bat eman zigun 1976ko martxoaren 3an Gasteizen gertatutakoari buruz.
Gertaeren historia ondo jakitearen garrantzia helarazi zigun, giza eskubideen urraketa larria izan zen tragedia ahaztuta gera ez zedin.
Beraz, eskerrak eman nahi dizkiogu Zuriñeri hitzaldi hau egiteagatik. Izan ere, oso garrantzitsua da gertakari hauen berri izatea, urtero biktimak oroitu ahal izateko eta lan-eskubideen eta askatasun demokratikoen aldeko borrokaren garrantzia gogorarazteko.
28/02/2025- SPEECH ABOUT 3 OF MARCH
On February 28th, our colleague Zuriñe, a first year student of tourism at BHI Francisco de Vitoria, gave us a talk about what happened on March 3, 1976 in Vitoria Gasteiz.
She told us how important it is to know the history of the events that took place in order to prevent that tragedy, which was a serious violation of human rights, from falling into oblivion.
We would like to thank Zuriñe for giving this talk, since it is of great importance to have knowledge of these facts in order to commemorate the victims every year and to remember the importance of the struggle for labor rights and democratic freedoms.

Otsailaren 14an, Ibai eta Laura gure ikaskideek, Francisco de Vitoria BHIko turismoko lehen eta bigarren mailako ikasleek, Fiturren izandako esperientziari buruzko hitzaldia eman ziguten.
Oso entretenigarria izan zen hitzaldia, azokan egin zuten lana, esperientzia profesionala, Madrilgo egonaldiko pasadizoak... kontatzeko aukera izan baikenuen, besteak beste. Gainera, standean zeuden bitartean eraman behar zituzten jantziak eta akreditazioak erakutsi zizkiguten.
Esan zuten merezi izan zuela han lan egitea. Batetik, publikoari begira esperientzia profesionala lortzeko, eta, bestetik, turismo-sektoreari buruz asko ikasi zutelako.

On February 14th, our classmates Ibai and Laura gave us a talk. They talk about their experience working in Fitur as workers representing the stand of Euskadi.
They had the opportunity to talk about the work they did, their professional experience working and many other things. They also showed us photos and videos in the presentation.
They made us understand the importance of working there. However, it was a great opportunity to have professional experience in customer service and they learned a lot about the tourism sector.
We would like to thank Ibai and Laura for sharing their experience and to Euskadi Basquetour for giving us the opportunity to work there.
14/02/2025- CONFÉRENCE FITUR
Il 14 febbraio, le nostre colleghe Ibai e Laura, studentesse del primo e secondo anno di turismo presso il BHI Francisco de Vitoria, ci hanno parlato della loro esperienza a Fitur.
La conferenza è stata molto divertente, perché abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di raccontare il lavoro svolto in fiera, la loro esperienza professionale, aneddoti del loro soggiorno a Madrid, tra le altre cose. Ci hanno anche mostrato gli abiti e gli accreditamenti che dovevano indossare mentre erano allo stand.
Ci hanno fatto capire l'importanza di lavorare lì. Da un lato, per fare esperienza professionale di fronte al pubblico, dall'altro, perché hanno imparato molto sul settore turistico.
Ringraziamo Ibai e Laura per aver condiviso la loro esperienza e Euskadi Basquetour per averci dato l'opportunità di lavorare lì.

Ibai Ruiz Montoya eta Laura Rudel Ayerra, lehengo eta bigarren mailako GIAT-Turismoko ikasleak, Madrilen urtero emanten den (Nazio Arteko Turismo Azoka) FITURera lan egitera joateko aukera izan dute, 2025eko urtarrilaren 22tik- 26ra Euskadi Basque Country standean lan egiteko.
FITUR Madrileko IFEMA azoka zentroan egiten den nazioarteko turismo azoka da.
Bertan Munduko herrialde ezberdinak eta Espainiako hiriburu eta autonomia-erkidegoak standak bertako turismoa patrozinatzen dute. Guk Euskadiko autonomia-erkidegoaren stand-ean lan egin genuen Euskadi Basque Country markarekin, bertan hainbat postu bete genituen, hala nola erakus mahaian edo enpresen eremuan. Stand-a aurten txalaparta izan du inspirazio gisa, bertan erakustokiaren barruan hainbat mostradore, aurkezpen-gune bat, enpresentzako bilera gune bat eta taberna bat zeuden. Erakusmahaiak hiru hiriburuek osatzen zituzten (Gasteiz, Bilbo eta Donostia), Arabako Errioxa, Euskal Mendiak eta haranak eta Bizkaiko eta Gipuzkoako kostaldeak.

First year student Ibai Ruiz Montoya and second year student Laura Rudel had the opportunity to go to work at FITUR to work at the Euskadi Basque Country stand from January 22, 2025 to January 26, 2025.
Fitur is the international tourism fair that is held in Madrid, exactly at the Ifema venue. This fair has stands from communities in Spain and countries from around the world. There we were working at the Euskadi stand, occupying different positions such as at the counter or in the business area. The stand was recreating a txalaparta, with its wood and sheep skins. Inside the stand there were different counters, a presentation area, a table area for companies and a bar. The counters were made up of the three capitals (Gasteiz, Bilbo and Donosti) along with the areas of Rioja Alavesa, Basque Mountains and Valleys and the coast of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.
We can say that it was a very positive and enriching experience for us since we were learning how to work in our field and we really enjoyed it. Thank Basque Tour and Eventoki for the opportunity they gave us to attend Fitur as representatives of Euskadi Basque Country.

Aurreko asteburuan, turismo goi mailako zikloko lehenengo eta bigarren mailako ikasleok FITUR Madrid 2025, nazioarteko turismo azokara joateko aukera paregabea izan genuen. Ekitaldi honek funtsezko erreferentzia-puntu bat eskaintzen digu gure prestakuntzarako, turismo sektorearen joerak, zerbitzuak eta aukerak ezagutzeko.
Gure bisitan, azokako 9 pabiloi ezberdin esploratu genituen, eta bereziki nabarmendu ziren Afrika, Latinoamerika, Andaluzia, Euskadi eta zerbitzu turistikoen enpresak, hala nola kruzeroak eta autoen alokairua. Eremu bakoitzean, aurkezpenek eta jarduerek erakusten zuten eskualde bakoitzaren izaera berezia, eta tokietan berezitasun eta autentikotasun sentsazioa sortzen zuten. Gainera, jokoetan, zozketetan eta ekintza interaktiboetan parte hartu genuen, tokiko produktuak dastatu genituen, eta, noski, Afrikako edo Latinoamerikako dantza tipiko eta kultura aurkezpenekin gozatu genuen.

On the weekend of January 25, the first and second year students of the higher degree cycle in tourism had the opportunity to attend FITUR Madrid 2025, the international tourism fair. This event is a fundamental reference point for our training, as it provides us with key knowledge about trends, services and opportunities in the tourism sector and its tourist destinations.
During our visit, we were able to see the 9 pavilions of the fair, highlighting areas as striking as Africa, America, Europe, Andalusia, Euskadi and tourism service companies such as cruises and car rentals, among others. In each space, the presentations and activities reflected the unique essence of each region, making every corner feel special and authentic. In addition, we participated in games, raffles and interactive activities, tasted local products and enjoyed traditional dances.
One of the most valuable lessons we have learned from this experience was to discover that each part of the world has a special and unique attraction, offering unrepeatable experiences that enrich tourism at a global level. The exhibitors were always willing to show us their tourist resources, gastronomy, traditions, etc.
Undoubtedly, this visit allowed us to develop a more global and innovative perspective on tourism, reinforcing our vocation and passion for tourism. Activities such as musical presentations, tastings, traditional dances and traditional costumes were the most enjoyed moments, creating memories that we will hardly forget.
For all these reasons, we recommend this activity not only to students of tourism, but to anyone interested in traveling and learning about new tourist destinations. FITUR is a unique opportunity to learn about different destinations, cultures, customs and traditions, and to broaden our understanding of the impact of tourism worldwide.
We would like to express our most sincere thanks to our teachers Nerea, Nere and Amaia, who managed this unforgettable experience, as well as to the institute, which supported us in the logistics with transportation and a portion of the tickets to FITUR, making it possible for us to cover other personal expenses such as our stay in Madrid.
In addition to visiting FITUR, we were also able to visit Madrid such as Gran Vía and the Museum of Reina Sofia.

Lehenengo dastaketa Eguren Ugarte upategiko gazta eta ardoarena izan zen. Ardo horiek zuriak izan ziren.
Bigarren dastaketa txokolatezkoa eta Eguren Ugarte upategiko ardoarena izan zen. Ardo horiek beltzak izan ziren.
Dastatzeaz gain, upategiari eta ardo dastaketa bat egiteko jarraitu beharreko urratsei buruzko azalpena eman zigun.
Horrekin eskerrak eman nahi genizkien Silviari eta Eguren Ugarte upategiari esperientzia horretaz gozatzeagatik.

Last 15th and 22th of January, the class from the second year of Tourism went on a trip to the Mercado de Abastos of Vitoria-Gasteiz to do two different wine tasting sessions, divided in two groups.
The first tasting included cheese and wine from the Eguren Ugarte winery, these wines being a Reserve Wine and a White Rioja Wine.
The second one included chocolate and wine from the Eguren Ugarte winery, these wines being a Muscat, a Red Rioja Wine and a Reserve Wine.
Beside the tasting, they gave us a brief explanation on this winery and introduced us to the steps to do a wine tasting.
For this, we want to thank Silvia and the Eguren Ugarte winery for this experience.
15/01/2025-22/01/2025- DÉGUSTATION ÉTAIENT ETAIENT EN FRANÇAIS
Les 15 et 22 janvier le classe de deuxième année de tourisme fait une sortie au marché de Vitoria-Gasteiz pour faire deux dégustation de vins. Les deux dégustation étaient en français.
La première dégustation était de fromage et vin de la cave Eguren Ugarte, il était une vin blanc.
La deuxième dégustation était chocolat et vin de la cave Eguren Ugarte, il était moscato, vin Rioja rouge et réservé.
De plus, elle fait une explication sur la cave et les étapes à suivre pour réaliser la dégustation de vin.
Nous voulons remercier Silvia et la cave Eguren Ugarte pour profiter de cette expérience.

2024ko abenduaren 9an, 2025eko urtarrilaren 10ean eta 21ean, Turismoko bigarren mailako ikasleek 6 orduko sentsibilizazio eta sinaduraren lengoaiako tailerra jaso zuten.
Tailerrean, abezedario daktilografikoa, zenbakiak, egunerokoan erabiltzen diren esamoldeak eta turismoarekin lotutako hiztegia irakatsi zituzten, jarduera eta dinamikaren bidez. Halaber, pertsonekin nola jokatu behar den eta zenbait gomendio aurkeztu zituzten.

Last week, on the 21st of January 2025, we the students of second year studies in Turism, received the last class of the 6h workshop on communication awareness and sign language given by the first year students of communicative mediation.
During said workshop we were given speeches and shown videos on the importance of communication. We also learned some basic sign language like finger spelling and basic words in SSL (Spanish Sign Language) related to our field of studies, as well as recommendations on how to approach certain situations.
We are grateful to the first year students of communicative mediation Martina Abad, Amets Apiñaniz, Nera Dieguez y Anne Palma, for this workshop and incredible experience.

Urtarrilaren 16an, Turismoko 1. mailako goi-mailako zikloko ikasleok Arabako Koadrilei buruzko Azoka bat egin genuen, ethazi erronka-lanaren barruan.
Ikastetxeko ikasgelak eta zuzendaritzako kideak Azokara joateko aukera izan zuten. Gure eginkizuna Arabako kuadrillei buruz ikastea eta bertaratutakoei ezagutaraztea zen, kasu honetan 4 kuadrilla zehazki buruz: Aiara, Añana, Arabako Errioxa eta Arabako Mendialdea. Standetan hainbat euskarri genituen: liburuxkak, ibilbideak, pasaportea...

16/01/2025 - FERIA DE LAS CUADRILLAS
On the 16th of January, the students of the first year of the higher cycle of Tourism carried out a Fair on Cuadrillas of Alava, which was visited by students from different cycles and by the management staff of the centre.
The fair was divided into four stands with different ‘cuadrillas’: Ayala, Añana, Campezo-Montaña Alavesa and Laguardia-Rioja Alavesa. At the different stands, the members of the groups gave a short explanation about the group and the tourist resources to visit.
We would like to thank the school management for allowing us to carry out this fair and we would also like to thank the teachers and students for attending the event, without them this would not have been place.
APDEMA HITZALDIA 2025/01/07
Joan den asteartean, urtarrilaren 7an, turismoko lehen mailako zein bigarren mailako ikasleek APDEMA elkartearen hitzaldi bat izan genuen.

On January 7th, the students of the first and second year of the higher degree of Tourism were given a talk by the association Apdema.
Karmele, representative of Apdema and responsible for the free-time activities, talked about this association, explaining what it was and who they worked with and how they did it. She also explained how we could work with them and which activities were available for us to participate in.

Last Thursday, December 12th, the 1st and 2nd year Tourism students gave a talk about the Tolosa International Choral Competition,where some students attended this event, having the role of tour guide.
During the talk, they shared a bunch of the experiences they had, various anecdotes, and introduced the people they met from different countries. Some students had already participated last year and decided to return this year, as it is a very beautiful and enriching experience.
We would like to thank Elena, Patricia, María, Rodrigo, Uxue, Kala, and Laura for giving us such an entertaining talk.

On November 20th, the students of Tourism went to Mendizorrotza to do a Wine Tasting in Mendizorrotza. A group of students who are studying Cooking taught us how to taste wine. First we tasted the white and the red ones. A group of us explained to them our studies program. We were able to enjoy this experience thanks to a classmate who had studied there before. We would like to thank the students of Mendizorroza for their professionalism. We want to thank Rodolfo Villate, coordinator of Egibide-Mendizorroza and the responsible of FP family hospitality, also Itxaso Ugarte, teacher from Egibide-Mendizorrotza and Karolina Krupa, our classmate, for getting this visit.

Azaroaren 12an Avanza Orienta azoka ospatu zen Europa Biltzar Jauregiko Gasteiz aretoan, Vitoria-Gasteizen. Bigarren hezkuntzako eta batxilergoko orientatzaileei, tutoreei eta zuzendariei zuzendutako ekitaldia izan zen. Turismoko 1. mailako ikasleok aukera izan genuen ekipoaren parte izateko, gure zerbitzuak ekitaldiko azafato gisa eskainiz. Parte-hartzaileak sarrera nagusitik ekitaldia ospatuko zen aretoraino gidatzeaz, izena emateko eta parte-hartzaileen erregistroaz eta egiaztapena egiteaz arduratu ginen. 12/11/2024- AVANZA ORIENTA FAIR
Last Friday, 12th of November, the Avanza Orienta fair aimed at counselors, tutors and directors of secondary and high school took place in the Gasteiz Hall of the Europa Conference Center in Vitoria - Gasteiz. The tourism students had the opportunity to work there, providing our services as event hostesses. We were in charge of guiding the entry of the participants from the main entrance to the room where the event would be held, the registration and verification of the participants, as well as providing them with a safe space to leave their belongings if they decided to do so.
Finally, we want to thank Raquel Arozarena for giving us the opportunity to participate and learn a little about the extensive work that goes into organizing the events, allowing us to acquire this wonderful experience of being part of her team. Thank you!

في يوم 12 نوفمبر الماضي ، تم تنظيم معرض Avanza Orienta المخصص للموجهين و الموجهات و الأساتذة المسؤولين عن التوجيه و المدراء في المرحلتين الثانوية و البكالوريا، وذلك في قاعة "غاستايز " داخل قصر المؤتمرات "أوروبا " في فيتوريا غاستايز. وقد أتيحت لنا الفرصة،نحن طلاب السنة الأولى من تخصص السياحة، المشاركة كجزء من الفريق، حيث قدمنا خدمات كمنظمين للفعالية.
تضمنت مهامنا توجيه المشاركين من المدخل الرئيسي إلى القاعة المخصصة لإقامة الحدث ،بالاضافة إلى تسجيل الحضور و التحقق من قائمة المشاركين المسجلين مسبقا، كما قمنا بتوجهيهم إلى مساحة آمنة للمشاركين لتخزين أمتعتهم.
و في الختام ، نود ان نتوجه بالشكر الجزيل إلى السيدة راكيل اروازارينا من Ikaslan و شركة Comunicación 2más2 على إتاحة هذه الفرصة لنا للمشاركة و التعرف على العمل الذي يتطلبه تنظيم مثل هذه الفعاليات. لقد سمحت لنا هذه التجربة الرائعة بأن نكون جزءا من فريقهم و ان نتعلم الكثير .

Pasa den azaroaren 18an, Turismoko Goi Mailako Zikloko 1. mailako ikasleak Gasteizko Santa Maria katedralera joan ginen bisita gidatu bat egitera. Katedrala hiriko alde zaharrean kokatuta dago.
Gure gidaria Mirari izan zen. Honek, eraikuntzaren, kriptaren eta dorrearen historia azaldu zizkigun, besteak beste.
Katedraleko zorupean hasi ginen, eta Katedralaren zimenduak ikusi ahal izan genituen. Bisitarekin amaitzeko, Katedraleko atariaren birsorkuntza-lanak koloretan ikusetako aukera izan genuen, momentu horretan lan hori egiten bait zebiltzan.

18/11/2024 - SANTA MARÍA CATHEDRAL
Last November 18th, we had the opportunity to visit the old cathedral of Santa Maria located in the old town. Our guide, Mirari, explained to us the history of the construction of the cathedral, its crypt, the interior of the cathedral... among many others.
Also, we were able to climb the tower to see the views of the city of Vitoria from the top, the views were incredible, as the sky was clear.
We would like to thank the school for giving us the opportunity to go on this educational trip and also Mirari, for doing her job properly and being close to us.
2024/11/15-MAMIA OKINDEGIRA BISITA
Pasaden azaroaren 15ean, turismoko bigarren mailako ikasleok Mamia okindegia bisitatu genuen. Bisitan zehar, ogiaren ekoizpen-prosezuari buruz hitzegin eta ikasi genuen, osagai naturalen hautaketatik hasi eta oratze eta laberatze prozesurarte. Mamian bertako produktuak nola erabiltzen dituzten azaldu ziguten, merkataritza bidezko eta jasangarriagoa izan dadin sustatuz, kalitate handiko produktuak sortuz.
Horrez gain ogi dastaketa egin genuen, non mota desberdinak probatu genituen. Horrela, ogi bakoitzaren ehundura eta zaporeak ikusi genituen, ogi industrialaren eta artisauaren arteko ezberdintasunak ikusiz. Irteera honek ogi bakoitzaren atzean dagoen esfortzua eta dedikazioa baloratzen lagundu zigun, baita bertako merkataritza babestearen garrantzia ezagutzen. Esperientzia oso aberasgarria izan zen, bai ikasteko baita gozatzeko ere.

15/11/2024-MAMIA BAKERY
On November 15th, the second-year Tourism students visited the Mamia bakery in Vitoria-Gasteiz. During the visit, we learned about the process of making artisanal bread, selecting natural ingredients and baking. They explained how Mamia uses local products, promoting fairer and more sustainable trade, thus creating high-quality products.
We also participated in a bread tasting, where we tried different varieties, observing their textures and flavors and comparing the differences between industrial and artisanal bread. This educational trip allowed us to appreciate the work behind each piece of bread, as well as understand the importance of supporting local products. It was a very enriching experience for both learning and enjoyment.

Pasa den azaroaren 6an, turismoko lehen mailako ikasleok Gamarrako Ostalaritza Eskolara joateko aukera izan genuen. Gure bisitan, Turismoko lehen mailako ikasle batzuek gure goi mailako zikloa ingelesez azaldu zieten Sukaldaritza Zuzendaritzako eta Jatetxe-arloko Zerbitzuetako ikasleei. Era berean, beraiek tour bat egin ziguten euren instalazioetatik. Gainera, Beak protokolo-hitzaldi bat eman zigun. On November 6, the first-year Tourism students had the opportunity to visit the Gamarra School of Hospitality. During our visit, some of the first-year Tourism students presented the higher-level Tourism program in English to students from Culinary Management and Restaurant Services. Similarly, they gave us a tour of their facilities. Additionally, we received a protocol talk from Bea.
We were able to put what we learned from the protocol talk into practice during a meal prepared by the Culinary students.
We would like to thank the students from Culinary Management and Restaurant Services for giving us a tour of the Gamarra facilities, Esti for the protocol talk, and the Culinary and Restaurant Services students, especially Amaia Txapartegi, Jon, and Juanjo.

Azaroak 4ean, bigarren kurtsoko ikasleek lehen kurtsokoei bisita gidatu bat egin ziguten Oñati eta Arantzazuko Santutegitik. Gasteiztik atera eta Oñatira ailegatu ginen, bertan, bi taldetan banatu gintuzten. Lehenengo, Oñatitik zehar egin ziguten bisita, Sancti Spiritu Unibertsitatea edo Bidaurretako Monasterioa ikusten, besteak beste. Le 4 novembre, les étudiants de deuxième année du Tourisme nous ont offert une visite guidée des villes d'Oñati et d'Arantzazu. À notre arrivée à Oñati, nous avons été divisés en deux groupes : le premier groupe nous a fait visiter Oñati et nous a expliqué les différentes ressources de cette ville. Le deuxième groupe a effectué une autre visite guidée du sanctuaire d'Arantzazu, où l'on nous a parlé du sanctuaire et du parc naturel d'Aizkorri-Aratz. Finalement, nous tenons à remercier tous les étudiants de deuxième année pour leurs efforts et leur implication.
04/11/2024-GUIDED TOUR IN OÑATI AND ARANTZAZU
On 4 November, the second-year Tourism students took us on a guided tour of the town of Oñati and the Sanctuary of Arantzazu. When we arrived in Oñati, we were split into two groups: the first group gave us a tour of Oñati and explained the town's various tourist spots. The second group took us on another guided tour of the Arantzazu Sanctuary, where we were told all about the Sanctuary and the Aizkorri-Aratz Nature Park. Finally, we would like to thank all the second-year students for their efforts and involvement.

Urriaren 26an eta 27an, Turismoko lehen mailako ikasleak boluntarioak izan ginen Winerunen standean, Arabako Errioxako mahastien arteko lasterketa eta martxa batean. Lasterketak 10 eta 20 kilometrokoak ziren eta martxa 10-koa. Bertan, gure lana izan zen korrikalariak izena emanda zutela ziurtatzea eta dortsalak eta kamisetak banatzea, besteak beste.

On October the 26th, the first year tourism students volunteered at the winerun stand in the afternoon and handed out bags, bibs, wine glasses...etc.
Afterwards, on October the 27th, we attended the same event in the morning and once the event was over, we went to the Viña Salceda winery to serve wine and address the participants.
To thank us for the work we have done, the winery gave us two bottles of wine, glasses and an opener.
We want to thank Raquel, the organizer of the event and the person who gave us the opportunity to work. In addition, we also want to thank Viña Salceda for the gifts they gave us and for giving us the opportunity to work in their winery.

26 et 27 octobre, nous avons eu la chance de participer au Wine Run. Le premier jour, nous avons distribué des dossards, des sacs à dos, des tasses et des t-shirts aux participants de la marche et de la course. Le deuxième jour, nous avons été présents de 8h30 à 11h pour distribuer des dossards, puis nous avons été emmenés à la cave Viña Salceda où nous avons aidé à servir du vin aux participants. On October the 7th the students of the Higher Degree Cycle of Tourism had the opportunity to take a guided tour of Vitoria-Gasteiz. Walking through its streets, we learned all about the history of the city accompanied by a guide from the Tourist Office called Diego.
The visit began in the Plaza de España, from there we visited and learned about the history of some places in the city such as the Virgen Blanca square, the Otxanda tower or the church of San Pedro, among others.
Thanks to this visit, the students got to know and learn much of the history of the city and we recommend it to everyone.
We want to thank the guide Diego for the visit he made to us and for all of the advice he offered us to help us be the best tourist guides we can be. In addition, we also want to thank the Vitoria-Gasteiz Tourist Office.

2024ko urriaren 4an, Laura bigarren mailako ikasleak hitzaldi bat eman zigun Turismoko lehenengo eta bigarren mailakoei, Tolosako Nazioarteko Abesbatza Lehiaketari buruz. Bere esperientzia guztia kontatu zuen: berak gidaritzat hartzen zuen korua, beste herrialde batzuetatik (Txina, Errusia, Eslovenia…) datozen koru desberdinetako arduraduna zela. Last Friday, October 4, Laura, the student of the second course of Tourism, gave us a talk about the International Choir Competition of Tolosa, in which she has had the opportunity to attend as a guide of both international and national choirs.
During the talk she explained a little about the evolution and what the contest consists of, as well as the different functions she had to perform, such as guiding them in the language, assisting and coordinating the competitions and giving tours. He stated that it is very important to master languages such as English, French or Basque because you are the only reference to guide the choirs.
In addition, her partner Patricia, who also participated as a guide, told us how she lived the experience from her point of view and that it is not necessary to have a high level of English if you are accompanied. In fact, she was delighted and is eager to repeat the experience.
We would like to thank to our second course classmates for giving us this talk about the Tolosa International Choir Contest and for encouraging us to participate in it.

W ubiegły piątek, 4 października, jedna z uczennic naszej szkoły Francisco de Vitoria, Laura, która obecnie uczy sie na drógim roku Szkoły Wyższej w kierunku Turystyki, wygłosiła nam wykład na temat Międzynarodowego Konkursu Chóralnego w Tolosie, na którym miała okazje asystować jako przewodnik towarzyszący chórom. Podczas wykładu opowiedziała nam nieco o ewolucji konkursu, i na czym on polega, także o różnych funkcjach, które musiała wykonać jako przewodnik, takich jak: orientacja językowa, pomoc i koordynacja konkursów oraz organizowanie mini wycieczek. Dodała że bardzo ważne jest, aby biegle posługiwać się językami takimi jak angielski, francuski i baskijski ponieważ podczas pobytu tam jesteśmy ich jedynym punktem odniesienia. Ponadto jej koleżanka Patricia, która również uczestniczyła jako przewodnik, opowiedziała nam, jak przeżyła to doświadczenie z jej punktu widzenia. W rzeczywistości była zachwycona i nie może się doczekać powtórki. Chcieliśmy serdecznie podziękować naszym koleżankom za wygłoszenie referatu na temat Międzynarodowego Konkursu Chóralnego i za zachęcenie nas do wzięcia w nim udziału.

Last 25th September, the students of the Tourism and Communication Mediation courses attended a presentation by three former students from the course of Tourism.
Onintza, Isa and Idaira were the students who came and talked about their experiences in the Tourism field, as well as their experience during the Erasmus programme and their plans for the near future. Besides, Idaira talked about how she got a Tourism enterprise interested in doing tours around the city of Vitoria, being an example of entrepreneurship.
We all would like to thank Onintza, Isa and Idaira for coming here and sharing such interesting and important information.

23/09/2024-GUIDED TOUR THROUGH FRANCISCO DE VITORIA
On the 23rd of September, second-year Tourism students organized and prepared a guide for first-year Tourism students through Francisco de Vitoria. In the first place they introduced themselves and told us what the route was going to be. Then they gave us indications to follow and showed us the cycles (as well as the career opportunities that each cycle has) that are in the second floor of our building.They also did that for the training cycles on the third floor and lastly, floor 0. We are very grateful and satisfied with the route. It was a very complete visit, the students were very helpful and very professional .

Pasaden maiatzak 13tik 17ra Dietetikako eta Turismoko irakasleak, Laura Zabaleta eta Eider Sáez, Erasmus + irakasleentzako bekarekin Budapesten egon ginen. From May 13th to 17th, the teachers of Dietetics and Tourism, Laura Zabaleta and Eider Sáez, were in Budapest with the Erasmus + scholarship. There, we had the opportunity to visit some educational institutions in the fields of Tourism and Health, as well as hotels and companies to establish contacts for students to carry out their Erasmus internships abroad.
Thanks to Francisco de Vitoria, the Erasmus team at the institution, and entities that have collaborated. Thank you for providing us with this experience and such wonderful memories.
10-05-2024 EXPOVACACIONES
Pasa den ostiralean, maiatzak 10, goi mailako turismo zikloko 1. mailako ikasleak BECen (Bilbo) ospatutako Expovacaciones azokara joan ziren. Aurten maiatzaren 10, 11 eta 12an ospatu den azoka turistikoa da.
Azoka honetan Espainia eta Hego Amerikako bi erkidegoetako leku ezberdinetako hainbat stand ikusi ahal izan ditugu, haien baliabideak ezagutzeko eta toki hori sustatzeko helburuarekin. Janari postuak, kanpinak edota autoak alokatzeko enpresak ere bazeuden. Stand bakoitzean langileek sustatutako informazio guztia ezagutzeko informazioa zegoen. Horrez gain, stand guztiek bakoitzak bere dekorazioa propioa zuten.
Irteera honi esker leku askoko baliabideak eta haien gastronomia ezagutu ahal izan genuen.

10/05/2024-EXPOVACACIONES
Last Friday, May 10th, the 1st-year class of Tourism had the opportunity to attend the Expovacaciones fair held at the BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Centre). This tourism fair took place on May 10th, 11th, and 12th this year.
At the fair, we were able to explore various stands from different places, both from regions of Spain and from other countries around the world, with the aim of learning about their resources and promoting those destinations. There were also stands offering food tasting and selling different products, campsites, and even car rental companies. Each stand had brochures providing all the information promoted by the staff. Additionally, every stand had its own unique decoration.
Thanks to this excursion, we were able to discover many places, their resources, and their gastronomy, as many stands offered tastings, as said before.

Pasa den ostiralean, apirilaren 26an, turismoko lehen mailako ikasleek, Komunikazio Bitartekotzako ikasleekin batera, Gasteizko Muralezko Ibilbidean zehar bisita gidatuak egin zituzten, moduluen arteko erronka baten zati gisa.
Bisitan zehar, ikasleek bisita gidatuak ondo egiten ikasi zuten, azalpen argiak eta entreteigarriak emanez, publiko guztiarentzat jasangarriak, eskuragarriak eta inklusiboak izatea lortuz. Gainera, Komunikazioko ikasleek azalpenak zeinu-hizkuntzan itzuli zuten.

26/04/2024 MURALS GUIDED VISIST
On April 26th, the first year tourism students gave a guided tour of the city's murals, with the help of fellow communicative mediation students.
As part of the third trimester erronka, we were given the task to research and develop a guided tour for Vitoria - Gasteiz´s murals (IMVG), with sustainability and inclusivity in mind. For the first weeks we worked in class, gathering information about the murals and their surroundings, then we gave all of this information that we had gathered to the students from communicative mediation, for them to translate it to sign language.
After a couple of meetings between the students, on the 26th of April, we performed the guided tour to fellow students and to the people that attended the guided tour.
We followed the scheduled route and gave an in depth explanation on the murals.
We want to thank the teachers and students of Communicative Mediation for the great experience.

Apirilaren 23an eta 24an Avanza azoka egin zen, lanbide-heziketako ikastaroei buruzko informazioarekin lotuta.Gasteizen egin zen, Green aretoan, Europan (Biltzar Jauregian). Arabako institutuek osatutako standak izan ziren, eta edozein bisitari hurbildu zitekeen stand-era, bere lehentasunezko ikastaroari buruzko informazioa lortzeko.Guk, Turismoko ikasleok, Avanza taldeko kide izateko aukera izan genuen, aretoko azafato gisa parte hartuz. Aretoko sarrerak eta irteerak kudeatzeaz arduratzen ginen, baita promozio-poltsak banatzeaz ere, Avanza logoa erabilita.

23-24/04/2024- AVANZA FP FAIR
On April 23rd and 24th, the Avanza fair related to information about Vocational Training Courses was held. It took place at the Europa Congress Palace in Vitoria-Gasteiz, specifically in the Green room, where different stands were set up by Vocational Training Schools from Álava. Any visitor could approach the stand to get information about their preferred course.
We, the Tourism students, had the opportunity to be part of the Avanza team, participating as room hosts. We were responsible for managing entrances and exits of people, as well as for distributing promotional bags with the Avanza logo.
Finally, we want to thank Raquel Arozarena and Susana Sáenz for giving us this learning opportunity and congratulate them for the incredible organization and the good atmosphere.Thank you!
BISITA GIDATUA FDVN BESTE IKASTETXEEI
Martxoan eta apirilean, Turismoko Goi Mailako Zikloko lehen mailako ikasleek bisita gidatuak egin zituzten Francisco de Vitoria BHIk dituen ziklo guztiak ezagutzeko interesa zuten institutu guztietara. Ikasleek eta irakasleek beren zikloei buruzko azalpenak eman zizkiguten, bai ikasgelan zer egiten duten, bai zikloa amaitu ondoren zer irteera dituzten. Horrez gain, egunero lan egiten duten tailerrak erakutsi zizkiguten.
Ikasle eta irakasle guztiei inplikazioa eskertzen dugu, bisita gidatu honetan parte hartzeagatik eta bertan egunero eman behar zizkieten azalpen guztiengatik.
OTHER CENTERS VISIT TO FRANCISCO DE VITORIA
Last March and April, the first year students of the Higher Level Tourism Cycle carried out guided tours to all the high schools and students interested in showing all the courses that Francisco de Vitoria has. They received explanations of every cycle; what they do in the classroom and the outings they have once the cycle is finished; as well as showing us the workshops where they work on a daily basis.
We would like to thank both the students and teachers of Francisco de Vitoria for their involvement in these guided tours and for all the explanations they had to give daily to the attendees.
18/04/2024-SALINAS DE AÑANA ETA ROBLE VERDE KANPINA
Apirilaren 18an, irteera bat izan genuen Gesaltza Añanara eta bertan bisita gidatu bat egin ziguten, gatza fabrikatzeko prozesua azaltzeko. Jarduera hori ingelesez egin genuen, eta, gainera, leku horretan aurki daitezkeen gatz guztien dastaketa bat egin genuen. Horrez gain, gune horren abantailei eta gida izateari buruzko prestakuntza-hitzaldi bat eman ziguten.
Honekin eskerrak eman nahi dizkiogu Aritz Zubia bisista egin zigun gidariaria, tarte atsegin eta entretenigarrienagatik, baita Kristina Arregui Gesaltza Añanako koordinatzaileari eskerrak eman ere.

18-04-2024 SALT VALLEY AND ROBLE VERDE CAMPSITE
Last April 18th the students of Tourism went to Salinas de Añana, where we were given a guided tour around the salt mines and explained the process of the creation of the salt. This activity was in English. We also did a tasting of the different types of salt found in this place, along with a brief talk on how they work in this place, how to do it ourselves and the advantages of working in this place.
We would like to thank Aritz Zubia for the guided tour. We really enjoyed it. Also, thanks to Kristina Arregui, the coordinator of Salinas de Añana, for the interesting talk she gave us.
On this same day we also visited the Camping of Roble Verde, where an old student of Tourism is currently working. She gave us a tour around the camping, showing and explaining to us its installations. She also explained the different duties she does as a worker in this camp and its compromise with sustainability.
For this tour we want to thank Irene Gomez. It was really interesting getting to know more about this place and we had a really good time. We also want to thank Santi López,the owner of the camp.

Pasaden apirilaren 15ean, turismoko lehen mailako hiru ikasle eta ikasleetako baten bi lankidek hitzaldi bat eman ziguten. Hitzaldi honetan kontatu zuten haien esperientzia, non Apdema fundazio bitartez, Salou, Benidorm eta Zamorara joan ziren dibertsitate funtzionala pertsonekin lan egiteko.
Pertsona horiei ikusgarritasuna emateak duen garrantzia eta beraiekin lan egitean eraman duten guztia kontatu ziguten, baita ikasle baten bi lankideek beren esperientziak kontatu ere, elkarteak duen eguneko zentroan bertan lan eginez.

15-04-2024 APDEMA TALK
On April 15th, three first-year students from the tourism higher education cycle and two colleagues of one of the students gave a talk about their experience working with people with disabilities on trips to Salou, Benidorm, and Zamora with the Apdema association.
They shared the importance of giving visibility to these individuals and everything they have gained from working with them. Even the two colleagues of one of the students shared their experiences working at the association's own day center.
We appreciate the three students and the two colleagues Irune and Igor who attended for the insightful talk and for raising visibility for people with disabilities.

Gasteizko katedral zaharra bezala ezagutzen da eta bertan bisita gidatua izan genuen, non Gasteizko herrixkaren jatorriak ezagutzeko aukera izan genuen. Katedral osoa bisitatu genuen, hala ere informatu genuen bere eraikuntza prozesu osoa eraikinen aukera txarragatik. Dorrera ere igo ginen, bertan Gasteizko bistak ikusi ahal genituen.
Mil esker gure gidari Maitane, bere azalpenak oso onak izan ziren eta esperientzia hau oso aberasgarria egin zuen.
9-4-2024 STA MARIA CATHEDRAL
On the 9th of April, we, the students of the first year of Turism, went on a guided tour around the Catedral de Santa María, in Gasteiz.
During this visit, we could have a closer view of everything we’ve learned so far in class about guided tours and, of course, see the cathedral and all of its changes throughout the years, either because of the course of time or bad building choices.
Moreover, we had the opportunity to go to the upper part of the building, where the bells are located, and have a look at the gorgeous views the city of Vitoria provides.
Thanks to the guide for the amazing explanations and everything we learnt.

Last Monday, February 26, Irene, a former Tourism student, visited us and talked about her experience after finishing her studies. She shared about the internships she did in her last year at Francisco de Vitoria and her subsequent work experiences.
Currently, she is working at Roble Verde camping site, which we will also visit in April to understand how it operates and learn more about Irene's responsibilities.
Soon, we will have an exciting outing to see her current job at Roble Verde camping site and go over everything she explained last Monday in class.
Both students and teachers appreciate Irene for her visit and the interesting and important talk she gave us.

Aurreko astelehenean, otsailaren 19an, gure klaseko Nikolas Quintano eta bigarren mailako Onintza Marcaidek Fitur ferian izandako lan-esperientziari buruzko hitzaldia eskaini ziguten. Urtero, urtarrilaren azkeneko astean, Madrilgo Ifema eremuan ospatzen den nazioarteko turismo azoka bat da.
Beraien eguneroko zereginak azaldu zizkiguten eta batez ere sektoreko profesionalekin batera lankidetzan aritu ziren lanpostu ezberdinak azaldu zizkiguten. Beraien zeregin nagusietako bat Euskal Herriko baliabide turistikoei buruzko informazioa ematea zen eta ekintzei buruz informatzea baita ere.

Last Monday, February 19, the first year classmate, Nikolas Quintano, and the second-year colleague, Onintza Marcaide, gave us a talk about their work experience at Fitur. An international tourism fair that is held every January in the Ifema enclosure (Madrid).
They told us information to take into account about their daily routine there, and in particular, about the different jobs where they were collaborating with the professionals of the sector. One of its main tasks was to inform visitors about the most popular tourist resources and the activities they demanded.
Finally, we want to thank both Niko and Onintza for all the information they promoted us about the fair and BASQUETOUR for giving us the opportunity another year to attend Fitur and introduce themselves to the world of work.

Joan den otsailaren 29an, Turismoko 1. mailako ikasleok ordubeteko bisita gidatua izan genuen Artium museotik, ingelesez.
Ibilbidearen hasieran, atarian Javier Pérez egilearen lana "Un pedazo de cielo cristalizado" eta bere lanak ikusi ahal izan genituen. Bestalde, beheko solairuan, Euskal Herriko artisten eta nazioarteko artisten artelanak ikusten ditugu, Carolina Caycedo kolonbiarrarenak bezala edo Jorge Oteiza, Néstor Basterretxea eta Eduardo Chillida bezala.
Ibilbide osoan zehar, Andreak bisita gidatua egiteko jarraitu behar ditugun urratsak azaldu zizkigun eta bisita modu hobean egiteko aholkuak eman zizkigun. Oso erabilgarriak iruditi zitzaizkigun bere gomendioak.

2024/02/29- ARTIUM MUSEUM
On February the 29th, the students of the 1st year of Tourism went to the Artium Museum from 11:30 to 12:30. When we arrived, the guide, Andrea, gave us a talk in English about rules and advice when giving a tour in a museum: how to address someone depending on their ages, the behavior and actions to follow when people are taking photos and don’t listen or even when some people in the group get lost…
Then, we saw some of the exhibited works of art. First, the international ones, with the works of Carolina Caycedo.
To finish, Andrea took us to the other part of the museum, where we could enjoy the work of arts of some Basque artists as Eduardo Chillida or Agustín Ibarrola.
We would like to thank the Artium Museum and especially our guide Andrea Ríos, for showing us the museum and taking her time to teach us more about the work of a guide.

Otsailaren 21ean, Turismoko ikasleak Marqués de Riscal upategia bisitatzeko aukera izan genuen, Eltziegon (Araba) kokatuta.
Lehenik upategitik tur gidatu bat izan genuen eta ardoa egiteko prozesu guztia azaldu ziguten, baita mahastiak eta ekitaldiko aretoak ikusi genituen. Honekin jarraitzeko langile batek hotel barrutik bisita bat gidatu zuen, bi jatetxeak, liburutegia, spa eta gimnasioa ikusteko aukera izan genuen.
Ahaztezina izan da esperientzia hau. On February 21th, the students of Tourism had the opportunity to visit the hotel of Marqués de Riscal located in Elciego (Álava).
We received a guide tour of the wineries, explaining how they work there. We see the vineyards and also the space they use to do events. At the end of the visit we were able to enter the hotel and see its facilities, the two restaurants, the library, the spa and gym.
We found this experience unforgettable and we are grateful to the guides Vanesa Ríos, Esther Morales and Elisabet Casals and to Marques de Riscal for this beautiful visit. Special thanks to Feng Lin Shao, a former Francisco de Vitoria student, who arranged the visit for us.

Joan den asteazkenean, 2024ko otsailaren 7an, Francisco de Vitoria-ko Turismoko 2. mailako ikasleek Amaia Junguitu gure kideak egindako bisita gidatu batean parte hartu zuten. Bisita gidatu tematizatu bat egin ziguten Gasteizen zehar.
Bisita martxoaren 3ko gaiarekin lotuta zegoen, horregatik bisitatu ziren baliabideak Asisko San Frantzisko eliza, martxoaren 3ko murala eta "Arrazoiaren indarra" eskultura izan ziren. Bisita gidatua egin ondoren, klasera itzuli ginen.

07/02/2024 GUIDED VISIT OF AMAIA
Last Wednesday February 7, 2024, the 2nd year Tourism students of Francisco de Vitoria participated in a guided tour delivered by our colleague Amaia Junguitu, who gave us a thematic guided tour of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The visit was related to the theme of March 3, which is a really interesting topic, to get to know more about the history of Vitoria-Gasteiz, so the resources we visited were the Church of San Francisco de Asís, the March 3 mural and the sculpture “The Force of Reason”, where she explained us about the tragedy of March 3. After taking the guided tour we returned to class.
We want to thank our colleague Amaia Junguitu for telling us more about what happened that day in our city and how important it is to know about it.
02/02/2024- MIREYA IZQUIERDO's TALK
On day 2 of February 2023, the 2nd year tourism students had the pleasure of receiving Mireya Izquierdo, who gave us a fascinating talk about her work experience in the hotel field. Mireya shared with us interesting details about her career, from her internship at the Arriaga Hotel to her current role at the Ibis Hotel, where she is in charge of preparing breakfast for guests and, in addition to her work in the Front Office, doing Check In and The Exit.
During the talk, Mireya highlighted the importance of continuous training, mentioning that she traveled to Madrid to take courses offered by the hotel, thus enriching her skills and knowledge. In addition, she revealed his future plans to us, expressing his interest in studying events and merging this knowledge with her work life at the hotel. Although she wasn't very sure about doing it because she was comfortable working in the hotel.
One of the key points of the presentation was Mireya's emphasis on patience towards customers, underscoring its importance in customer service. In addition, she surprised us by sharing that, in addition to her hotel training, she is a rhythmic dance coach, an exciting facet that has connected her with her current job.
We thank Mireya for sharing her experiences and motivating us to follow our goals with determination and passion.

2024/01/23tik 2024/01/29ra, lehen mailako ikasleak Nikolas Quintanok eta bigarren mailako ikasleak Onintza Markaidek, Fitur azokara joateko aukera izan zuten, non Euskadiko standera joan ziren lan egitera.
Fitur, Madrilen urtero egiten den Azoka bat da. Munduko herrialde guztiak eta Espainiako autonomia-erkidegoak joaten dira. Niko eta Onintza Euskadiren standean aritu ziren lanean Euskadi promozionatzeko. Stand-a sei zatitan banatuta zegoen, hasieran informazio orokorreko mostradorea zegoen, non bi ikasleak lanean ari ziren, eta ondoren probintziako hiriburuetako turismo bulegoak zeuden, hau da, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Donostia- San Sebastian eta Bilbao, Arabako Errioxa eta kosta eta mendiak.

From 23/01/2024 to 29/01/2024 the first year student, Nikolas Quintano and the second year student, Onintza Markaide had the opportunity to work in the stand of Euskadi Basque Country in Fitur.
Fitur is a fair that takes place every January in Madrid, specifically in the area of Ifema. There, most of the world countries and the autonomous communities of Spain promote themselves in terms of tourism. Companies (such as Amadeus), airlines and hotels also attend the fair to present new programmes or products. Niko and Onintza were working on the Euskadi Basque Country stand to promote the region. This stand was divided into seven parts; the general information desk where the two students were working, and five desks devoted to Vitoria-Gasteiz, Donostia-San Sebastian, Bilbao, Rioja Alavesa, Basque coast, and the Basque mountains.
In general, it was an unforgettable experience in which the students learned a lot while having a great time. Finally, we would like to thank Basquetour and especially Marta Inza, responsible for Fitur with the training of the VET students, as well as Beni Saizar, teacher of Zubiri Manteo.
19/01/2024 BASQUETOUREKO HITZALDIA
Pasaden ostiralean, urtarrilak 19, Iker Urcelayren bizitaz gozatu genuen, bera Basquetourreko turismo teknikaria da, sustapenaren arduraduna. Geografiako ikasketak egin ondoren, Basquetour taldea sartu zen. Bere helburu nagusia, turismo proiektuak martxan jartzea da. Naturan zentratu zen, zehazkin ekoturismoan, zikloturismoan, etb. Txarla hasi bezain pronto folleto ezberdinak banatu zizkigun, bertan rutak, baliabide naturalak, historikoak, turismo industriala etab azaltzen dira. 19/01/2024 - BASQUETOUR TALK
Last Friday, 19th January, we enjoyed the visit of Iker Urcelay, Basquetour's tourism technician, in charge of promotion. After studying geography, he joined the Basquetour group. His main objective is to set up tourism projects. In the talk, he focused on nature, specifically on ecotourism, cycle tourism, etc. Right at the start, he handed out different brochures that showed the tours, the natural resources, the historical resources, industrial tourism, etc. This happened a few days before the Fitur fair and showed us several projects that will be exhibited and presented at the fair, GRANDTOUR, the new campaign for this year. Also, he talked about the new LGTB project.
We thank Basquetour and Iker Urcelay for talking to us about their projects and ways to be better at promotion in tourism.

Urtarrilaren 9an, Turismoko bigarren mailako ikasleak, Gasteizko Turismo Bulegoa bisitatu genuen eta bertan, langileen aholkuak jaso genituen. Hainbat galdera egin genizkien, eta haiek modu egokian argitu zituzten gure zalantzak. Bulegoan egiten dituzten lanak, informazio bila joaten diren bezero mota eta zein garaitan duten publiko gehien azaldu ziguten, besteak beste.
Baita ere, Turismo Bulegoak zer lan mota egiten dituen deskribatu zuten, hala nola, ekitaldiak, jaialdiak eta beste ekitaldi mota batzuk sustatzea. Azkenik, lan egiterakoan izandako esperientzia, sortzen diren arazo motei buruz eta haien konponbideari buruz hitz egin genuen.
Turismo Bulegoko bisita bukatzean, Gazte Informazioko Udal Bulegora joan ginen. Bertan, egiten den lanari buruzko informazioa eman ziguten eta haiek eman ditzaketen laguntza motei buruz zein eskaintzen dituzten ikastaroei buruz ere hitz egin ziguten.
OMIJ-InfoGazte-ko aretoan izan zen hitzaldia. OMIJ web orrian aurkitu dezakegun eduki mota azaldu zigun. Ondoren, dinamika bat egin genuen hitzaldian emandako ezagutzak indartzeko, eta egindako jardueraren irabazleei sari bat eman zitzaien.

09/01/2024 - OIT + OMIJ VISIT
On the 9th of January, the second year tourism students visited the Vitoria-Gasteiz Tourist Office, being advised by its workers, to whom we asked several questions and our doubts were solved in an effective way by the speakers. They explained the work carried out in the office, the type of customer who comes to look for information and the times of the year when the office is most visited.
They also described the type of work the OIT is involved in, such as promoting city events, festivals, activities, among other types of events. Finally, questions were asked about experiences of working in the tourism office, the types of problems that can occur and possible solutions, along with curiosities and tips for people interested in working at the OIT.
Afterwards, we went to the Municipal Youth Information Office, where we were
informed about the type of work they do, the types of help they can provide, the courses available for all ages and the benefits of registering and obtaining the Gazte-txartela.
The rooms of the OMIJ were explained, such as the library, which was the place where the talk was given, and we were given a detailed explanation of the types of content we can find. Then they did a dynamic to reinforce the knowledge given in the talk and a prize was awarded to the winners of the activity.

21/12/23-11/01/24-12/01/24 SING LANGUAGE
On 21 December 2023, 11 and 12 January 2024, the first year students of the Communication Mediation Vocational Training Studies: Natxo Olabarria, Aimar Gartzia, Dounia Martinitz and Elaia López gave us a 6-hour workshop on sign language, and awareness of deaf culture to the second year students of Tourism.
In the workshop, they taught the alphabet in an interactive way by means of dynamic activities, how to express oneself with sign language, especially related to tourism. We were introduced to theory and myths, how to act with deaf people along with some recommendations.
Many thanks to the students of Communicative Mediation and to the teachers Asun Celaya and Amaia Telleria for the training received, it was a very enjoyable and entertaining experience.
2023/12/18- BISITA GIDATUA GERNIKAN
Pasa den astelehenean, bigarren mailakoek Gernikatik bisita gidatu bat egin ziguten. Goizeko 8:10ean institutuan elkartu ginen autobusa Gernikarantz hartzeko. Gernikara heldu ginenean, hiru talde ezberdinetan banatu ginen. Behin taldeetan banatuta, bigarren mailakoak bisitarekin hasi ziren. Lehenik Batzar Etxera joan ginen eta amaitzeko Gernikako Merkatua, Gernikako Arbola eta Gudarien eskulturatik pasa ginen, besteak beste.
18/12/2023- GUIDED TOUR OF GERNIKA
Last Monday, December 18, the second-year students gave us a guided tour of Gernika, dividing us all into three groups and seeing different resources of this town. In the case of group 3, the visit lasted between 1,5 and 2 hours and we saw different places such as Foru plaza, where the cultural center and statue of Don Tello are located, continuing along the street to the Andra Maria church. We also visited the famous mural, inspired by the painting of Pablo Picasso "Gernika". Then, we went directly to “Parque de los pueblos de Europa”, where the sculptures by Henry Moore and Eduardo Chillida are found. Right on the way to the Assembly House, which is a meeting room with a colored roof, we saw the famous old tree of Gernika and also the new one. It was a good experience and we would like to thank the second-year students and the teachers who have passionately attended this trip.

Last 1st of december, the two teachers of Tourism, Nerea Fdz de Ortega Larruzea and Eider Sáez Rubio, have the opportunity to attend to the presentation of the “España Verde” ecotourism corridor. Tourism counselor, Jesús María García de Cos, Iker Urcelay from Basquetour and different companies and associations of the sector attend.
Under the brand “España Verde” this initiative joined 4 communities of the north of Spain with several protected natural spaces,through which it runs the corridor.

Pasadako azaroak 28an, Turismoko lehenengo eta bigarren mailako ikasle irakasleak Gamarako Sukaldaritza Eskolara joan ginen. Berta iristean Amaia Txapartegi, ingelesez prestatutako, bisita gidatua hasi zuen.
Ikasgela eta liburitegia erakutsi ondoren, ikastetxeko sukaldaritza zikloa aurkeztu zigun. Amaia Txapartegi, ikasleen laguntzarekin, sukaldeko gune ezberdinak zer nolako erabilera duten azaldu ziguten; otordu elikagaien ekoizpena, okindegian prestatzen dituzten ogia, okin eta goxoak…
Hurrena, zerbitzari lana eta protokoloa azaldu zigun Danel Mujika, Turismo lehenengo mailako ikasleei emandako hitzaldian, mahai-protokoloa, platerak eta mahai-tresnak, une ezberdinetan nola ipintzen diren ikasiz. Baita ere, Turismoko ikasle talde bat, gure zikloko aurkezpena eman zuen ingelez, Gamarrako gazteei Turismoko goi maia ezaguturantziz.

28/11/2023 MEAL IN GAMARRA
The Tourism students went to the Gamara Cooking School on November 28. When we arrived, we were greeted by the cooking professors and guided through the modern and well-equipped facilities of the school. The aromas of the fresh foods were floating in the air, making the atmosphere somehow edible!
Amaia Txapartegi was our coordinator for the guided tour in English. She explained how the dishes were cooked, the study options in Gamarra and introduced us to different students.
After that, the Tourism students gave another talk to the Gamarra students about our superior grade and vice versa.
When we were finished with the tours, Danel Mujika offered us a protocol at the table talk: he explained how the cutlery should be placed, the number of plates and their names... anything that we needed to understand about eating at the table properly, ending with the practical part of the talks with a high quality meals from the kitchen of Asier González.
We want to thank the wonderful teachers and coordinators, Amaia Txapartegi, Danel Mujika and Asier González for the warm invitation to your school. We are truly grateful for this opportunity to visit and learn from you.
The Gamarra Cooking School not only provided practical skills, but also an enriching experience that will be etched in our culinary memories, we are wishing to return!
TOURIST GUIDES, INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE IN AMSTERDAM (NOVEMBER 2023)
Azaroko aste honetan, Nerea Fz de Ortega Larruzea Francisco de Vitoria BHIko Turismo Zikloko irakaslea Amsterdamera joan zen TRIBE NLk antolatutako jardueretan parte hartzera.
Amsterdamera joan ahal izan da irakasleen Erasmus+ muhgikortasun bati esker.
Jarduera hauetan, hainbat autonomia-erkidegotako Turismo eta Ostalaritzako beste irakasle batzuk eta Erasmus arduradunak ere izan ziren, hala nola Madrilgoak, Gijongoak, Valentziakoak eta Segoviakoak.
Jarduera horiek gure ikasleei Holandako hotelen harreretan, praktikak egiteko aukera ematera bideratuta zeuden.
Hori dela eta, programaren barnean bazegoen hainbat hoteletara bisitak egiteko aukera, gure ikasleek praktikak egin zitzaketen enpresak bertatik bertara ezagutzeko.
Bestalde, programa honi esker Amsterdamgo Ostalaritza eta Turismo Eskola (ROC van Amsterdam MBO College Centrum) ere bisitatu zen, eta horrek zabaldu egiten du nazioartean Turismoari buruzko hezkuntza-arloan lan egin ahal izatea, bai eta irakasleekin Europako hainbat proiektutan lankidetzan aritzea ere.
Horretaz gain, Nerea gida-enpresa batzuekin harremanetan jarri zen, ikasleek praktikak mota honetako enpresetan ere egin ahal izan ditzaten.
This week in November, Tourism teacher Nerea Fz de Ortega Larruzea, from IES Francisco de Vitoria travelled to Amsterdam to participate in the activities organized by TRIBE NL.
This possibility of traveling to Amsterdam has been due to the mobility that Erasmus+ offers for teachers.
Other teachers and Erasmus coordinators from different autonomous communities, such as from Madrid, Gijón, Valencia and Segovia, also attended these activities.
These activities were focused on providing our students with internships at the front office in hotels in the Netherlands.
That is why the programme included visits to different hotels, to see first-hand the companies where our students could develop their internships.
On the other hand, the programme also included a visit to the Amsterdam School of Hospitality and Tourism (ROC van Amsterdam MBO College Centrum), which expands the possibility of working on educational matters about Tourism at an international level, as well as collaborating with its teaching staff in various European projects.
In addition, Nerea contacted different guide companies with the final objective that the students can also do their internships in these type of companies.

2023ko azaroaren 24an, GIAT-Turismoko lehenengo mailako ikasleak, Arabako Arkeologia eta Fournier Naipeen museora joan ginen, BIBAT deritzona. Bisita honetan, bisitariak nola kokatu, azaltzeko orduan truko batzuk eman zizkigun eta bisitariekin izan behar dugun jokaera azaldu zigun, zona arkeologikoa bisitarekin batera. Jarraian, naipe museoan beste bisita bat izan genuen, naipeen historia azalduz.
Talde osoak eskertzen du Isabel Buesa gidaria bere azalpenengaitik eta gidari bezala zerbait gehiago azaltzeagaitik. Asko ikasi genuen bisita honekin.
29/11/2023-BIBAT MUSEUM
Last 24th November, the students from the first year of Tourism went to the Bibat Museum, where both the Archeology Museum of Álava and the Naipes Museum are located. There, Isabel Buesa gave us a tour round the archeology museum, giving us not only a step on the Prehistory, but also an explanation of the work of a guide and how to manage a guided tour correctly. To finish, another guide gave us a brief tour round the Naipes Museum, where we had a short view over the history of these cards.
We want to sincerely thank the guides for guiding us through the different museums and showing us how to manage a guided tour ourselves. We really appreciate it.
GASTRONOMIA ETA FOLKLOREA
Francisco de Vitoria eskolaren goi-mailako zikloko Turismoko ikasleok, taldekideen artean hautatu ditugun herrialdeen aurkezpenak egin ditugu ETHAZI metodologiaren erronka bezala.
Hautatu ditugun herrialdeak hurrengo laurak izan dira: Nepal, Honduras, Dominikar Errepublika eta Lazio eskualdea, Italian. Herrialdeei buruzko informazioa ahalik eta aberasgarriena izan dadin, arlo ezberdinak azaldu dira: gastronomia, folklorea, lan orduak… informazioa praktikoa eta ez astuna izateko, talde bakoitzak gure herrialdeko edo aukeratutako eremuetako janari tipikoak nahiz elementu kulturalak eraman ditugu, eta dantza batzuk ere egin ditugu. Amaieran merendola bat izan dugu Italiako eta Honduraseko janari tipikoekin.
GASTRONOMY AND FOLKLORE PRESENTATIONS
Between the days of 30th and 31st of October, the four groups of the 1st year of Tourism, presented their gastronomy and folklore parts of the “Traveling around the World “ task.
The challenge consisted of explaining and transmitting information about the typical dishes and traditional dances of Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nepal and the region of Lazio. It was such an interesting session where we learned about the traditions and the culinary habits of those places and we laughed a lot watching how the groups recreated their classical dances.
After performing the presentations correctly, all the groups share a time together tasting the typical foods of each country and region, moreover, the teachers also brought some sweet snacks. Thus, after carrying out the Erronka successfully we all went home happy and full, as we ate all the Italian, Dominican, Nepalese and Honduran food.

31/10/2023 CHOIR OF TOLOSA
This school year 2023/2024 we have had the opportunity to take part as guides on the Annual Choral Competition of Tolosa accompanying the Slovenian choir Megaron for a week.
We coordinated the group for the competition as well as during the tour around different destinations through Aragon, Navarra and the Basque Country.
From this experience, we bring home new friends and adventures. We are looking forward to taking part in it again next year. With all this said, we thank everyone involved and distinctly the CIT and Xabier Ormazabal, for this opportunity.

2023ko azaroaren 15ean, Estela Carrasco eta Eider Ortuondo, aurreko urteko turismo ikasleak txarla bat eman zuten erasmus esperietziari buruz, bereziki Budapesten bizitako esperientziari buruz, bertan turismoko lehen eta bigarren mailako ikasleak ziren entzule. Bi ikasleak Budapest Center hotelean egin zituzten praktikak, Eurostars hotel-kateari dagokion 4 izarreko hotel batean. Argi utzi zuten lehendabiziko astea oso zaila eta berezia izan zela, baina egunak pasa ziren heinean zeregin nagusiak ikasten joan ziren, adibidez, check in-check out-ak, hoteleko logela guztia ( 92 hain zuzen ere ), etab.
Hilabete bat pasa berzain pronto bai Estelari eta bai Eiderri prosatu zieten udaran bertan lan egitea kontratu mugagabearekin, azkenean baiezkoa eman zuten. Gaur egun Estelak Budapesten lanean jarraitzen du, urtebete geratzearen helburuarekin. Eider aldiz, ikasten jarraitzea erabaki zuen Bilbon, marketing kudeaketa gradua.

15/11/2023 FORMER STUDENT'S TALKS
On 15 November 2023, former students Estela Carrasco and Eider Ortuondo gave a talk to the 1st and 2nd year students of Tourism about their Erasmus experiences in Budapest. They both did their internships at the Budapest Center Hotel of the Eurostars hotel chain and mentioned that, although at the beginning there were some difficulties, they managed to adapt and carry out their tasks, such as check in-check out, learn all the rooms of the hotel which are approximately 92 and do almost everything a worker does.
The two former students were offered a job for the summer with a permanent contract. Eider is currently in Bilbao studying Marketing Management, while Estela is still working in Budapest and intends to stay at least one year to apply for a transfer.
Thanks to Estela Carrasco and Eider Ortuondo for sharing their experiences and knowledge with the students who are still in their first and second year of Tourism.
11/09/2023 - GASTEIZKO BISITA GIDATUA BILBOKO IKASLEEI
Azaroaren 9an, Turismoko 2. mailako ikasleek bisita gidatua egin ziguten Gasteizen Bilboko Turismoko ikasleei. Gaikako bisitak egin genien: 1. taldeak esplorazio botaniko bat egin zuen; 2. taldeak Gasteizko sekretuei buruzko bisita bat eta 3. taldeak, Gasteiz belikoari buruzko bisita.
Horrela, talde bakoitza hirian zehar banatu zen, Bilboko gure lankideei gure hiriko baliabide turistiko garrantzitsu eta bitxienak erakutsiz. Arma museoa, Florida parkea, Montehermoso jauregia eta beste hainbat txoko bisitatu genituen.
Talde bakoitzak Bilboko ikasle talde bat gidatu zuen hirian zehar. Hala, gida baten lanarekin eta hiriaren historiarekin lotutako ikasitako guztia praktikan jarri ahal izan genuen.

09/11/2023-GUIDED VISIT FROM GASTEIZ TO BILBAO STUDENTS
On November 9, the 2nd year Tourism students did a thematic guided tour of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz. This activity was presented to the students of Bilbao, with the purpose of giving them the opportunity to learn and explore the resources, curious facts and places of interest of the city.
The guided tour has been organized and planned by our students, who have worked hard to make sure that the tour shows the most interesting and surprising aspects of Vitoria-Gasteiz. During the visit, the Bilbao students had the opportunity to appreciate the culture, history, and architecture of the city, along with its nature and green spaces, highlighting the green capital.
The 2nd year Tourism visitors cooperated with their enthusiasm and order in this guided tour. The teachers from Bilbao also attended, who were part of the entire tour. The collaboration of these Bilbao students is appreciated for their participation in this activity. Hoping that this guided tour of Vitoria-Gasteiz has been a very educational experience, endowed with knowledge for the students of Elorrieta Erreka Mari from Bilbao, showing the cultural and tourist heritage of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

2023/11/19- GIATeko Gasteizko bisita gidatua
2023ko urriaren 19an, GIATeko 2. mailako ikasleok bisita gidatu bat jazo genuen turismo bulegoaren aldetik, Diego izeneko gidariakin. Diegok alde zaharreko istorio harrigarriak partekatu zituen, eta gure arreta gehiago erakartzeko esperientziak eta datu kuriosoak kontatu zituen.
Ibilbidea Espainia Plazan hasi zen eta San Miguel elizaren aurrean bukatu zen. Bisita ameitzear zegoenean euria hasi zuen, baina horreek ez zuen eraiginik izan, bisita normaltazunez egin genuelako. Bisita amaitu eta gero, Isabel Marrón ikaskidea, Kordoi Etxera eraman zigun, azalpen txiki bat emateko.

19/10/2023 GUIDED VISIT
On October 19th of 2023, the second-year students of Tourism (GIAT) took part in a guided tour through the impressive old town of Vitoria-Gasteiz led by an excellent guide from the tourist office named Diego.
Diego is a passionate historian who shared incredible stories surrounding the entire old town, recounting experiences and providing fascinating facts that captured the students' attention.
It was an enjoyable journey, from the beginning in Plaza de España the tour proceeded smoothly until the end, which concluded in front of the Church of San Miguel, accompanied by the lovely story of Celedon.
As a valuable addition to the tour, student Isabel Marrón conducted a brief tour of the Casa del Cordón, showcasing her excellent skills.
In conclusion, thanks to this pleasant visit, the students came to know much more about the history of the city, becoming acquainted with its streets, churches, and traditions, gaining a deeper understanding of the role of a guide and the nature of their work.

On October 18th, the students of Tourism had the opportunity to hear some of our classmates talk about their experiences working as touristic guides.
From these students we learnt a lot of things to have in mind when working in this field and how important it is to enjoy the experience of working with people, as it can you not only develop and get better when it comes to talking in public and expressing yourself better, but also it’s a great opportunity to make contacts with them and learn from their experiences as well.
Apart from this, they also talked about the importance of languages, as guides have to communicate with a lot of people and it is important to be able to unfold in different situations. Moreover, they emphasized on the importance of being proactive and having contacts to get more opportunities and have more experience.
We found this experience enlightening and loved having them with us and being able to get a view into a possible future. We are always grateful to Naira Ajler, Idaira Antolín, Ainhoa González, Isa Marron and Laura Rudel.
2023/10/10 DANI ETA EGOITZ HITZALDIA
2023ko urriaren 10ean, Egoitz Antero ikasle oihak eta Daniel Herrera ikasleak hitzaldi bat eman zuten Turismoko lehenengo eta bigarren mailako iskaleei. Hasteko Daniel Herrerak bere esperientziari buruz hitz egin zuen, hegazkineko laguntzailea zertan datza azalduz. Hegaldi bakoitzaren aurretik, bitartean eta ondoren egin beharreko prozezu guztiak, itxura fisikoa… Azkenik, betebeharrei eta prestakuntzei buruz hitz egin zuen.
Ondoren, Egoitz Anteroren txanda izan zen, berak Atarian egindako praktikei buruz eta Europan zehar: Erroman, Parisen, Venezian eta beste herrialde batzuetan turismo-gidari gisa izandako esperientziari buruz hitz egin zuen. Gaur egun, Gazteizko Turismo Bulegoan lanean dago. Hitzaldiaren amaieran, aholku batzuk eman zigun.
On October 10, 2023, former student Egoitz Antero and student Daniel Herrera gave a talk to the first and second year Tourism students. First Daniel Herrera talked about his experience training as a flight attendant and what it entails. He explained all the procedures to be carried out before, during and after each flight, the responsibilities required, how important physical appearance is and also professional opportunities. Finally, he spoke about the requirements and training, detailing that there are companies that train and others that require prior training.
Later, former student Egoitz Antero spoke about his internship in Ataria, his experience as a tour guide in Europe, in countries such as Rome, Paris, Venice and others. He is currently working at the Vitoria-Gasteiz Tourist Office telling about his experience. At the end of the talk he gave some advice to the Tourism students accompanied by some words of motivation.

Pasaden ostiralean, irailaren 29an, 10 ikasle ohiak bisitatu zituzten Turismo-GIATeko 1. eta 2. mailako ikasleak. Ikasle horiek Francisco de Vitoria BHIra itzuli ziren hainbat urte geroago, egungo ikasleei praktiketan eta lan-esparruan duten esperientzia azaltzeko.
Feng Lin Shao, Jaione Antón , Miriam Martínez, Roxana Valentina, Beatriz Torres, Iranzu Oyaga, Naroa López, Cielo Millana, Ander Carrillo,Iñaki Cuesta, Ioana Alberdi, eta Naomi Anda izan ziren Turismoko ikasleak bisitatu zituzten ikasleak. Hainbat aurkezpenak egin zituzten haien esperientzia Francisco de Vitoria eskolan azaltzeko eta zer egin zuten ziklo hau bukatzean, batzuek azaldu zuten ere non egin zuten praktikak eta haien bizipenak Erasmusen. Askok lan-esperientzia handia hoteletan eta informazio bulegoetan lortu zuten, gainera batzuek azaldu ziguten ze lan mota egiten zuten gaur egun lan egiten duten lekuetan. Hala nola, check-in bat nola egiten den edo nola ematen den informazioa bezeroei, etabar. Feng-ek luxu handiko hotel batean, “Marqués de Riscal” hotelean lan egiten zuela azaldu zigun, . Bestalde,aholku bezala, kontaktuak izatea garrantzitsua zela esan zigun

This past Friday the 29th of September, the members from both first and second year of Tourism studies, were visited by former students. These former ten members of the school, gathered at the annual meeting, giving talks about their life after finishing their studies at Francisco de Vitoria, giving us some inspiration for future paths, with wise words, experiences and tools we can take advantage of. We got advice from different members and different backgrounds. Learning about all the nooks and crannies in the hotel front desk managing position, as mostly all had worked that part. Some wise words in keeping up with further studies, as it could help with getting to know more about your dream job. Also about programs we could take advantage of to further our curriculum and language skills. Overall during the different talks, we learnt about the importance of being resilient, resourceful, having communication skills, keeping a healthy mind, not having fear of change, and having faith in yourself. We students, all ended the day with hopes of coming back one day, as they have , to also inspire the next peer group. Grateful to Iranzu Oyaga, Miriam Martínez, Roxana Valentina, Naomi Anda, Naroa López, Cielo Millana, Jaione Antón, Ander Carrillo, Feng Lin Shao, Iñaki Cuesta, Ioana Alberdi, y Beatriz Torres. Pasa den urriaren 5ean, Francisco de Vitoria institutuko Turismoko bigarren mailako ikasleek bisita gidatu bat egin ziguten. Bertan irakasten diren goi eta erdi-mailako ziklo guztiak erakutsiz eta bakoitzaren informazio pixka bat azalduz, ikastetxe guztia ikusi genuen. Bisita gidatu hau 4 hizkuntzatan egin zen: gaztelaniaz, ingelesez, frantsesez eta euskaraz, gainera, nahiz eta denek ez zituzten hizkuntza guztiak guztiz menperatzen, oso ondo egin zutela esateko beharra daukagu.
Honi amaiera emateko, lehen mailako ikasleok gure bigarren mailako ikaskideek egindako lan handia eskertu nahi dugu eta zorionak nahi dizkizuegu ikasturteko lehen erronka honetan egindako lanagatik.
Last Thursday, the 5th of October, students from the second year of Tourism offered their first year peers a guided tour of the school building. The activity started with the properly uniformed students, equipped with name tags and their language knowledge badges, separating us rookies into groups. With a simple introduction, given in different languages, the tour had its start. During the travel around the premises, we were all well informed, about the variety of modules imparted at Francisco de Vitoria. Moving around the assigned rooms to each learning environment, we learnt about the imparted subjects, the different projects the students will partake in, and the future areas of employment each education processes prepared you for.
From unravelling all the insides of an ambulance, to showing us the ways of taking care of movement restricted people. We were smoothly shepherded and enlightened with the use of Spanish, English, French, Basque and even sign language.
Us first year students are undoubtedly grateful to all the members of the second year of tourism. We are also hopeful and looking forward to carrying out this project in the future.
2023/09/28- SEKTORE TURISTIKOAREN ERALDAKETA DIGITALAREN FORUA
Irailaren 28an, Gateizko Udala, El Correo eta SEGGITURrekin, antolatu zuten Helmuga Turistiko Adimendueen III. Forua, Europa Jauregian.
FDVko Turismo 1. eta 2. mailako ikasleoi gonbidatu gintuzten. Hiriko alkatea, Maite Etxebarria, ongietorri hitzaldi batekin hasi zen, gaztelaniaz zein euskaraz.
Enrique Martin, SEGGITUReko presidenteak, sektore turistikoaren eraldaketa digitala sustatzeari buruz hitz egin zuen, Berreskurapen, Eraldaketa eta Erresilientzia Planaren bidez.
Bigarren hitzaldia hiru parte-hartzailek osatu zuten: Elena Martín, Arabako Ostalaritzako SEAko lehendakariordea; Eneko Ibarnia, Arabako Bidaia Agentzien Elkarteko presidentea; eta Tomás Iriondo, GAIAko, Euskadiko Industria, Ezagutza eta Teknologia Klusterreko, zuzendari nagusi eta koordinatzailea. Hiruren artean, enpresa turistikoek eraldaketa digitalerako egindako ekitaldiei buruzko ekarpenak egin zituzten.
Azkenik, hirugarren hitzaldia Eva Mesanzak eman zuen, Gasteizko Turismo Digitalizazio Planari buruzkoa.
Halaber, eskerrak eman nahi dizkiogu Daniel Solanari, Basquetourreko zuzendariari, hitzaldietan parte hartzeagatik.
28/09/2023-FORUM OF THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE TOURISM SECTOR
On Thursday, September 28, at 9:15, first and second year tourism students attended the forum on smart tourist destinations at Palacio Europa. The forum began at 9:30 with a welcome from Maider Etxebarria who mentioned us in her speech. Continuing with this gratifying experience, the next person to come out to talk was Enrique Martínez Marín, president of SEGITTUR, who talked about the recovery and transformation plan for tourist destinations.
Then, 3 speakers went up to the podium to be interviewed, who were Elena Martín, vice president of SEA Hostelería de Álava, Eneko Ibarnia, president of the Álava travel agency association and Tomás Iriondo, director and coordinator of GAIA. Each of these responded to the questions asked applied to their sectors, such as hospitality, travel agency, etc.
And finally we had a very interesting talk by Eva Mesanza, Head of the Project Service of the Department of Economic Promotion, Employment, Commerce and Tourism of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. She talked about the Vitoria-Gasteiz Tourism Digitalization Plan which consisted of 7 phases, some in development and others ready to be carried out, all applied to Vitoria and how they can benefit the city. After that they thanked the people who attended and the forum ended.
We are very grateful to all the speakers, our teachers and to Daniel Solana, director of Basquetour, who gave us the opportunity to be part of this forum full of very useful knowledge for our training in tourism.
28/09/2023 FORUM DE LA TRANSFORMATION DIGITALE DU SECTEUR TOURISTIQUE
Le 28 septembre 2023, les deux groupes du BTS Tourisme du centre Francisco de Vitoria, on est allé au IIIème Forum de Destinations Touristiques Intelligentes qui a eu lieu dans le Palais de Congrès Europa, à Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Ce forum a été organisé par la mairie de Vitoria-Gasteiz, le journal local El Correo et Segittur, la secrétariat du tourisme de l’État.
Le forum a commencé à 9:30 avec l’intervention de la maire de Vitoria-Gasteiz, Maider Etxebarria qui a parlé de la situation de notre ville comme destination touristique intelligente.
Après elle, Enrique Martínez, président de Segittur, a expliqué le Plan de la reprise, transformation et résilience qui a été créé là pour améliorer la situation du tourisme en Espagne.
La deuxième partie du forum a été une table ronde constituée par Elena Martín, vice-présidente du SEA Hostelería de Álava, Eneko Ibarnia président de l’Association de Agences de Voyages de Alava et Tomás Iriondo, directeur et coordinateur de GAIA, Association de l’Industrie de la Connaissance et de la Technologie.
Finalement, le forum a achevé avec l’intervention d’ Eva Mesanza, la chef du Service des projets du Département de Promotion économique, de l’emploi, du commerce et du tourisme de la mairie de Vitoria-Gasteiz. Elle a présenté le programme de digitalisation du tourisme à Vitoria-Gasteiz.
On voudrait remercier tous les conférenciers qui ont participé au forum, pour nous montrer la situation actuelle du tourisme dans la ville et les nouveaux programmes qui sont en train de créer et surtout, pour nous donner l’opportunité d’assister et participer au forum.
