Creating Your Own 360 Media


Working with the Kodak SP360 Camera

On this page we will walk you through the steps needed to create your own 360 media using the Kodak SP360 camera. For other technology available, see the technology section of this website.

Setup & Recording

Initial SP360 setup.

  • Charge the battery and install (slide off the cover on the bottom of camera).

  • Insert a microSD card (pull tab on the side of the camera).

  • *Remember to remove the protective lens covering before use and replace it when finished.

5 Steps to getting your video into equirectangular projection format

STEP 1

Open Kodak PIXPRO 360 VR Suite

STEP 2

In Playback Mode (you are probably there by default; if not, select the tab in the top left) open the desired file by double clicking it.

STEP 3

Go to the top left of the screen and click the second circle. From the dropdown menu, select the equirectangular format.

STEP 4

For photos: click the save photo button in the bottom gray bar.
For videos: Adjust the sliders at the bottom of the screen to the length of your desired video. If you are satisfied with it as is, progress to the next step.
*If you would like to extract a photograph from a video, click the camera icon on the bottom bar and follow the prompt to save the file.

STEP 5

Select the Export button in the top right of the screen. An Export window will appear. Choose a name, location and resolution to save your video. You are now ready to share your video!
