K - 5 Social Studies Scope and Sequence 2024 - 2025

The K-5 Social Studies Scope and Sequence 2024-2025 document links all lessons and materials FPS Elementary classrooms can  utilize for Social Studies instruction this year. This year’s materials will come from Open Social Studies (K-3) and Investigating History (4-5). Materials have been identified as being HQIM by DESE. All materials will also be linked on to canvas as well. 

Priority topics for SS instruction have been identified below for each grade. Each topic is slated to take approximately one month to complete. Any connections between Social Studies topics and HMH’s Into Reading are indicated on the chart as well.
