About Me 

Ms. Ariel Carmichael 

Ms. Ariel Carmichael is the new Director of the Cameron Choral Department in Framingham Public Schools. She has been a General Music Educator for the past nine years and has been a Choir Director for the past 13 years. Ariel has taught primarily in the Boston and Cambridge Public School districts and has lead / co-led Diversity Professional Development trainings for faculty and staff. Additionally, she has founded two choruses and an informal strings ensemble and was afforded the opportunity to take her students to American Young Voices which was a national televised event.

Her primary instrument is vocals which is inspired from her father who attended Berklee College of Music. Additionally, she played the violin for eight years and was first chair with the North Shore Youth Symphony Orchestra and recorded with them as well. Ariel also plays the piano and currently is a choir director in Somerville, Massachusetts.
