1st Session (February 20th)

Kicking off the year, we had a great first session of the Journal Qlub! Here is a recap of what we covered:

• Welcome to the Journal Qlub: We broke down exactly what the Journal Qlub is all about, our core goals for the year, and how our upcoming sessions will be structured.

• "Linux for Researchers" Seminar: José Javier Fernández delivered an amazing talk to help demystify Linux. He broke down what it is, why it is such a powerful operating system, and how you can immediately use it to level up your own research and coursework.

2nd Session (March 6th)

"Quantum Computing For Plasma Physics" Seminar: Óscar Amara (PhD student at GoLP, IPFN, Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon) delivered an amazing talk on how quantum algorithms aim to break the limits of classical supercomputers—and the challenges of mapping complex plasma dynamics to quantum circuits.
