About Me

About me: Hi my name is Zane Dinshaw, I'm 18 years old, and I'm a senior at Farmington High School. I have had an interest in engineering for much of my life and in taking the engineering sequence at FHS I have had the opportunity to see what a job in engineering might require. I have had many opportunities to see real life engineers in the field through field trips to TRUMPF and other engineering firms. While engineering is no longer my chosen career path, I still enjoy the ability to engage in my groups project by being able to solve real world problems in a creative manner. Outside of school I am captain of the FHS Crew team, and I spend most of my time outside of school training, planning, and motivating my team. 

Future Plans: Next year I will be a freshman at WPI where I will be studying math, finance, and business. While I will be studying math and other topics, at WPI I will learn in an environment that models the engineering process. This is due to the fact that at WPI the curriculum follows a project-based system of learning so all the skills I have acquired thus far will be extremely helpful as I navigate my new school.
