About Me

Hi! My name is Olivia Hoxley and I'm a 17 year old senior at Farmington High School. Outside of the classroom, I play varsity field hockey and lacrosse, participate in the school musicals and plays, and play the violin in the symphony orchestra. I'm also a member of the National Honors Society and the Tri-M Music Honors Society. My favorite subject throughout high school has been psychology and AP Biology. After high school I will be attending Drexel University and will be majoring in health science on an accelerated physician assistant track and hope to later on specialize in either sports medicine orthopedic surgery or pediatrics.

My capstone project is important to me because my topic and research ties into a recent knee surgery I underwent in 2017. I underwent both the MPFL reconstruction and the tibial tubercle osteotomy and the recovery was very long and painful. I decided to research the effectiveness of both surgeries to see if there was a way that individuals could have a shorter recovery time and in less pain post-op.
