Dear IAR Families,

We are excited to announce that the Irving A. Robbins Middle School (IAR) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has gotten off to a great start this school year. We have elected our officers, held our initial meetings and voted for bylaws. The IAR PTO plans to provide families of middle school students the opportunity to support students and educators in ways that extend partnerships and support the culture of kindness and service that are hallmarks of the mission at IAR.  We look forward to collaborating with school administrators, faculty, and staff in a variety of meaningful ways.  These could include supporting extended learning opportunities, supporting educator appreciation efforts, or providing items for showcasing school spirit and pride. The possibilities are endless! Reach out to us with ideas, and keep an eye out for our ParentSquare posts.

In this spirit, we would like to invite you to participate in our “No Frills Fundraiser.” Please consider donating $40 for each student you have at IAR. If you are in a position to give more than $40, we welcome your generosity. If $40 is too much, we would appreciate any amount that you are comfortable donating.  Your donation is tax deductible and can be made in a variety of ways. You can mail or bring this letter to the main office with a check made out to the IAR PTO or cash. You can also pay online from your myschoolbucks account. (The same account you use to add funds to lunch accounts). To pay online, please go to www.myschoolbucks.com. From there, select “school store” from the menu on the top right and then “store home.” At this point, you can pick IAR as the school and then the IAR PTO option should pop up and you can add in the amount you wish to contribute.  You can check out online, knowing that we have received your donation! You won’t have any transaction fees when donating online.
