Thank you for your willingness to be a part of the Farmington Public Schools Community Council for Equity and Inclusion (CCEI). We are so fortunate to have all of you, willing to volunteer your time to participate in the urgent important work. We look forward to learning about your experiences, hearing your hopes for the future, and considering your ideas for next steps.
CCEI Goals
Monitor and provide feedback on district priorities using the FPS Equity Framework
Learn about and consider ways to address unconscious bias
Model the norms of civil discourse and collaborative problem-solving
Engage with outside experts and partners
Discuss ways to improve an inclusive climate and culture in our schools
Support action at the school level to promote Equity Framework goals and representatives of this council

This year, we are proud to partner with Dr. Olivia Hussey and Dr. Shannon Holder, both respected leaders in educational equity who work with the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC). Dr. Hussey has extensive experience developing strategies that promote inclusive school environments, and Dr. Holder specializes in fostering equitable practices through data-driven approaches and professional development.
This year's Council meetings will focus on the Culture and Climate aspect of our Equity Framework and how to support the work of our core belief: Actions Matter.
