1. Why the $120 fee?
This camp camp costs over $12,000 to put on. If every participant paid the $120 registration fee, it covers less that 15% of the budget for the camp. The rest of the funding comes from rigorous fundraising, grants, and more. Having buy-in from participating families, helps us to secure more funding and cover costs that foundations and donors don't.
2. What is the curriculum?
At STEMHack, we work hard to blend fun with learning. We use LEGO SPIKE Prime kits and the associated curriculum to bring the curriculum to life! Through the kits, kids will practice problem solving and learn about coding, engineering, and robotics. We also portion off sections of each day of camp for kids to be creative and explore the topics more independently. There will be guest speakers from the community and we are working hard bring in a fun field trip to a Pueblo Museum this year.
