REQUESTING UBER DIRECT DELIVERY
Always offer to redeliver the order to the guest when there's a problem with the order.
Confirm the delivery information with the guest (address, unit, phone number, and any special instructions)
Log in to Uber Direct portal
Select "+ New Delivery" button at the top left corner
Enter pickup details
Select date and time
Select the pick up address from the drop down. Add any notes for the pick up address to help the driver find your store faster.
Enter drop off details: Be as specific as possible to ensure the order is delivered to the correct address.
Enter the guest's information
Enter Package Information
Store Order ID: Your store name (e.g., CL)
Weight: Select 15-25 to ensure that they assign a driver with a car
Select "Request now" button at the bottom of the page.
WHEN TO REQUEST UBER DIRECT DELIVERY?
A guest calls, saying that they never received the order
An item(s) missing from the order
Incorrect items/order handed out to the driver
The driver mixes up the order
Rules of Thumb:
Always work with the guest to find the best solution for them.
Make sure the guest is taken cared of first before contact the third party service for refunds.
