St. Patrick's Day Tasting Tradition: Tasting of the Greens

This St. Patrick's Day, the Foundations Academy of Clarksville preschool students had a blast celebrating with a unique tasting tradition! Guided by our certified teachers, the pre-kindergarten class explored the vibrant world of green foods, making the day both educational and delicious.

As part of our play-based learning approach, the children eagerly tried a variety of green treats, including broccoli, lime Jello, kiwi, and a flavorful green veggie dip. The tasting activity sparked excitement and curiosity, allowing students to practice new vocabulary words like "tasty," "favorite," and "bitter." Small class sizes at Foundations support student interaction and individualized attention.

Through the experience, students also shared their opinions, discussing which foods they liked the most. It was a perfect opportunity for them to express their preferences and learn the value of friendship as they tried new things together.

This fun tradition not only helped expand their vocabulary but also nurtured important social skills, fostering connections and collaboration among classmates. A delightful day of play, learning, and, of course, green foods made for a memorable St. Patrick's Day celebration that our students will always remember!
