Outdoor Learning at Foundations Academy of Clarksville

At Foundations Academy of Clarksville, we believe that outdoor learning is a key part of your child’s development. With our small class sizes and certified teachers, we create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Our outdoor learning area is an extension of our play-based curriculum, offering children the opportunity to learn through movement, exploration, and engaging activities. Children ages 3-5 succeed when they can move their bodies during learning. Instead of spending the day in a desk, your child will learn and grow outdoors just as much as they do within the classroom.

Whether it’s listening to Bible stories under the shade of our trees, practicing social skills with friends, or enjoying creative play, our outdoor space offers countless ways for children to grow. Through interactive play, they develop essential skills like communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, all while staying active and having fun.

Open-ended playtime is the key to outdoor play. We love to rotate toys that encourage students to use their imaginations and work together. These oversized Duplo blocks are a favorite for our classes. Gross motor movement is important for kids in preschool. A large ball hoop keeps kids jumping, throwing, and moving to develop coordination and teamwork.

At Foundations, we’re passionate about fostering an environment that supports both physical and emotional growth. Come see how our outdoor learning area makes every day at preschool an adventure!
