The ability to use technology for learning is an essential component of children's education. Students will use Google Drive in my classroom to write papers, slides, and collaborate with one another. I am a Google Certified Educator at the Level 1 level. Becoming a certified educator boosts a person's confidence in using technology and working with pupils. With my training, I will be able to assist students in using technology creatively, improve classroom efficiency, and promote digital citizenship.

I created this Social Studies quiz on Kahoot for my students in the 1st grade classroom of my placement. At the school i was placed at they have a day where they focus on Alabama history, the day is called Celebrate Alabama. So I created this quiz to help them review and acquire background knowledge the week before. Students could take the quiz and the teacher can go back and see the questions students missed the most and can discuss what students missed and the answers.   

This was a lesson plan I created for my 1st grade classroom. Students in this lesson would write a informative summary based on a text read aloud of What if You Had Animal Feet?  When teaching this lesson i found it effective to make a chart of the different types of animals and have the students tell me what characteristic stood out to them about each one. This helped them pick the animal they would write their informative summary about.
