The Question

Which computing innovation has had, or has the potential to have, the greatest effect (beneficial or harmful) on society, economy, or culture?

Our Task

The two AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP) classes at Highlands High School in Fort Thomas, KY combined lists of computing innovations and "seeded" them based on our responses to the "The Question" above.

The list was assembled quickly so please don't overanalyze if each innovation is truly a computing innovation. The emphasis of our task was evaluating the effect of various technology products as we prepare to complete the Explore Performance Task. We found that listing actual products made for more engaging discussions.

How Can You PArticipate?

1. Fill out a bracket and see how you do. If you're an AP CSP teacher, have your students fill one out. Or use a single bracket for your class to guide a discussion. Check this site often for round-by-round updates.
2. Cast a vote each round to help us determine which innovation has had the greatest effect on society, economy, or culture.
