Flourishing Next Steps is a free and innovative after-school program designed specifically for kindergarten through second grade students in the School District of Fort Atkinson.
This program provides a unique opportunity for children to grow and learn in an engaging, hands-on environment that emphasizes play, art, and interactive activities. By integrating a variety of creative and educational experiences, the program helps build critical skills in literacy, math, and executive functioning. It also fosters social and emotional development, giving children the tools they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
The activities within Flourishing Next Steps are thoughtfully crafted to align with the grade-level outcomes of the School District of Fort Atkinson, ensuring consistency with the district’s curriculum standards. This alignment reinforces key learning objectives, while offering children opportunities to practice and apply their skills in meaningful, real-world contexts. As a result, students can strengthen their understanding of essential concepts, leading to increased academic confidence and overall growth.
Our 9 week Fall session will take place at Purdy Elementary, providing a central location for families. Dates and times for the session are provided below. We are eager to see how this program will support and inspire the growth of our young learners.
Flourishing Next Steps is available to kindergarten-second grade aged students enrolled in any of the four elementary schools within the District.
(Parents/caregivers are responsible for providing transportation to and from Purdy Elementary for their child. Children who attend Purdy will be picked up from their classroom by Molly Fuller and taken to the FNS space)
