Homework

In 7th Grade Language Arts, students' primary homework is reading.  Most other tasks only become homework if students are absent or do not complete them in the time allotted during class.  Powerschool and Google Classroom are good resources to check to see if students are up to date with in-class assignments.

You should expect to see your child bringing home something to read each day -- homework is typically to read around 10-20 pages per weeknight. Each quarter students should read at least 2 books.  Some months are "choice" books -- those students choose themselves.  Others are LDGs (literature discussion group books that they are reading in small groups).   LDG books may also require students to complete additional assignments/tasks.
