Erin Crouse- Senior
I would love to make sectionals but the fact that we have a few newer varsity players and only 2 seniors with a lot of experience, I’m not sure how high our chances are of winning sectionals. I am excited to play OESJ and Canjo because I think those will be closer, and more competitive games. I feel that our goals are not necessarily to win every game, but to improve as the season goes on. I hope to see more points scored and less turnovers as a whole team this season. I believe ever since I was in biddy basketball so around 10 years. My goal is to beat my own personal records from last year (like my rebound/scoring average), which I cannot do that without the help of my teammates.
Sarah Florian- Senior
I think that if we as a team try our hardest we have a good shot at doing well and winning games. I believe if everyone on our team gives it their all, we will definitely go to sectionals. The big games that I am looking forward to are the ones against Canajoharie and OESJ. They have always been our rivals and it would be great to beat them. I hope that our team works hard, doesn't let their heads down, and works together in order to succeed. If we do all of those things, we are likely to have a great season. I have been playing Since biddy basketball (whenever that starts). My goals for this season are to be the best I can be and to stay positive.

Goals for the season: I hope to keep getting better and win as many games as we can this year.

Emma Oldick- Senior
Goals for the Season: we lost two really good seniors last year so we have a lot of areas to improve on. If we can get in the right mindset I think we can place top three at sectionals and possibly win WAC. I have high hopes for this year and I think we can pull it together. I’m looking forward to our matches against Canjo and OESJ because they are always easy teams to bowl against. We usually can’t compete with Middleburgh but I think we have a fighting chance against them this year.
Season Expectations: I won a third place sectional patch last year for the individual high game and I expect to do the same or better this year. I’m excited to finally travel after having to bowl virtually last year. I think allowing us to travel will improve all of our scores tremendously. I’m just trying to go in with a positive attitude and do what I need to help my team win matches.

What events do you participate in?
500 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle.
What are your expectations for the upcoming season?
Ideally, I'd just like to get better and faster. I think a couple of us have a shot to make sectionals. I think I'm just looking forward to having actual meets, rather than computer meets. I'd like to see us set a few new records, but overall just get faster as a team. We don't feasibly have the numbers to be super good, but we'll see where it takes us.
How many years have you been playing your sport?
I've been playing for 1 year.
What are your personal expectations/feelings/goals for the upcoming season?
I would just want to get faster. I was alright last year, but it was my first year and I was still learning. Breaking a record would be cool, but it's pretty out of reach at this point. Win a couple races, grow as a team would be great.
Alex Smith- Sophomore
118 Pounds Weight Class
Goals for the season: "I'm looking to win sectionals and state qualifiers."
Alex has been wrestling for 8 years. He feels confident for this upcoming season. " I want at least 30 wins, have minimal losses and also to place in state qualifiers."
Madison Delgado- Junior
Madison has loved participating in cheer for a solid 3 years. She has hopes of being able to cheer in front of a larger crowd despite the restrictions put in place due to COVID-19. Madison told us she is very excited to see how the JV and Varsity groups do separately as it is the first time is years they are apart. The goals she has for both the varsity and jv are for the girls to go out of their comfort zones and have fun so they can not only entertain the crowd but include them. As for Madison, she hopes to find more confidence in herself so she can be more comfortable cheering in front of larger groups. A goal for herself this year is to achieve higher jumps.
Hailey Hogan- Senior
Hailey has been a cheerleader for the past 4 years and has loved every second of it. She is quite upset with how this season will prevail due to COVID-19. She has been looking forward to this big year as a senior and her experience just isn't going to be as good. Some positives though is that she believes that even though the cheerleaders will be restricted that the season will still be as fun as always and still wants to put on a show for the fellow people of Fort Plain. She is mainly looking forward to the varsity boys game against Canajoharie as it's normally the biggest game due to the rivalry between schools. Hailey is one of our best cheerleaders and were sure that she will put on a show like always.
