I graduated from Mizzou with a BS in Fisheries and Wildlife planning to be a conservation agent. After a joureny of traveling and several jobs I decided I wanted to teach. I went back to school and graduated from Rockhurst with a MS in Secondary Education in Biology.
My wife Molly is a assistant manager in the NICU at Children's Mercy. My daughter Ellie is 12 and going into 7th grade. Henry is 9 and will be in 4th grade. I am the last of six children and have 17 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nephews!
I have worked for my fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho, the Missouri Department of Conservation, a website company, and KC Animal Control. I had a side landscaping business and I am a beekeeper. I enjoy hunting and fishing and being outdoors when I can.
I coach football and am also the coach/sponsor for our Environthon team. I am currently working on a second master's at the University of Florida in Entomology.
