English 110 is available as dual credit through UMKC. You DO have to meet the requirements of either a minimum of a 3.0 GPA OR 21 ACT score. If you do NOT meet these requirements you can not enroll in the class through UMKC.

A few things to remember:
Students must complete ONE online application per semester, and “submit” the form in order for the online application to proceed to the next steps. Students should receive two emails from UMKC:
Email #1 will arrive within minutes to the same student email address used in the online application. This email will contain an application reference number.
Email #2 will arrive within 48 hours to the same student email address used in the online application. This email will contain parent & payment information along with the UMKC student ID number.
Email #3 will arrive within 48 hours to the same student email address used in the online application. This email will contain your UMKC email access/Canvas/Pathway information. Students should keep both of these emails for future reference, should they need to contact the HSCP office.
Students who do not complete pre-payments or submit the Student Financial Responsibility form (SFR) will not be enrolled.
If students have incomplete online applications, or have not determined the method of payment, and cleared any holds (financial, property, etc.) prior to September 14, 2020, will not be enrolled in any course.
Students who complete applications for Tuition Assistance will receive an email prior to September 14, 2020.
*Don’t forget tuition assistance is NOT guaranteed, as there are limited funds available from the University.
As your Teacher I have to have the counseling department verify your GPA/ACT score so if you enroll or plan to enroll in a dual credit class I need to know BY September 18th so I can give UMKC the appropriate information in time. You can do this in person or through an email.
Please take the time to read through the UMKC Financial Responsibility document. You are treated like a college student through UMKC so your teachers and school have no control or are in communication with UMKC about financial situations. This responsibility is on you and your parents.
