A big part of high school (and life in general) is finding out who you are. It is a constant struggle to figure out where you fit in. You will need to try many things before you find yourself. Truth be told, I'm still working on who I am. With that in mind, here is who I am at this point in time...
I AM... a CHRISTIAN, a HUSBAND, a FATHER, a TEACHER, a COACH, a PHOTOGRAPHER, and an AUTHOR.
GOD comes first in my life... PERIOD.
I've been married to my beautiful wife for 26 years. We met freshman year in college, and I proposed 6 months later. Without her, I wouldn't be the man I am today!
I have two wonderful children. My daugther Talia, and my son Tristan.
My son is a Freshman at MidAmerican Nazarine University. He's on the soccer team and a Business Major.
My daughter recently graduated from Avila with a degree in Theater Technology and Design with an emphasis in Lighting Design. She works full time and hopes to travel the world doing lighting for plays, musicals and concerts.
I've been teaching math (Algebra 1 and Pre-algebra) for 26 years. I've taught at Fort Osage for every one of them. (I even did my student teaching here) I love this school, and I love the students who attend here.
My goal every year is to help students realize that:
I've coached every year that I have been here at Fort Osage. I've spent 31 seasons coaching soccer, and I'm currently the head mens and womens coach. I love when I get to help kids grow in their athletic ability, but more importantly, I love helping my athletes learn life lessons through sport.
I love taking pictures in my spare time. Much of that spare time is used photographing sports teams here at Fort Osage. I donate all the images to the coaches for distribution and use. I feel students should be able to have pictures to remember the moments.
In 2022, I published my first book. It took roughly 5 years to write it. Persistance pays off!!! I've since published 6 additional books.
There are many other things that I enjoy. Here are a few extras!
Music, Star Wars, Lego, Gaming, Watching Sports, and Listening to Audiobooks
