We are so excited for an amazing summer! Below are answers to our most frequently asked questions to help your family feel prepared and confident.
โฐ What are camp hours?
Camp runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If a camper is picked up after 6:00 p.m., a late fee of $1.00 per minute, per camper will apply. Late fees must be paid within 24 hours.
๐จ What kinds of activities will campers enjoy?
Every day is packed with fun! Campers will participate in:
Crafts and art projects
Games and special themed activities
Gym recreation time
Outdoor play
Afternoon quiet time with a movie
Special event days and exciting surprises
Thereโs truly more fun than we can even list!
๐ How does drop-off and pick-up work?
Drop-off and pick-up take place at the Otwell Middle School front office
Drop-off: 7:30 a.m. โ 9:00 a.m.
Pick-up: 4:00 p.m. โ 6:00 p.m.
For safety reasons, campers must be signed in and out by an authorized adult.
๐ What should campers bring each day?
Please send your camper with:
Two snacks
A packed lunch
A refillable water bottle
Sunscreen
A hatย (if needed)
A full change of clothes (Yes, even older campers โ spills happen to everyone!)
๐ What should campers wear?
Campers should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes each day so they can safely participate in all activities.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes! Families receive $50 off for each additional child enrolled in camp.
๐ณ I canโt find the camp payment in School Pay. What should I do?
No worries! Please use the direct School Pay link provided on our website to complete your payment.
๐ Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes. A limited number of scholarships are available.
If your family is in need of financial assistance, please complete the Whitlow Summer Camp Scholarship Request Form.
๐ฅ How do you manage allergies and medical needs?
Your childโs safety is our priority. If your camper has medical needs, allergies, or requires medication during camp, please contact Kathy Brott at kbrott61@forsyth.k12.ga.us
We will work with you to ensure proper procedures are in place.
๐จ What happens in case of illness or injury?
If a camper becomes ill or is injured, we will immediately contact the primary guardian listed on the registration form. If we are unable to reach them, we will call the emergency contact provided.
๐ What should my child bring for special event days?
Theme-day items are optional but encouraged for extra fun!
Pokรฉmon Day: Cards, stuffed animals, clothing
Video Game Day: iPads, phones, Nintendo Switch, computers, and school-appropriate games
Nerf Day: Nerf blasters and gear
Water Day at School: Change of clothes, towel, sunscreen
Aquatic Center Day: Change of clothes, towel, sunscreen
Lanierland Park Day: Dress for outdoor play, sunscreen, water bottle
Billy Beez: Athletic attire and water bottle
Please note:
On field trip days, campers must be dropped off by 9:00 a.m. so buses can leave on time. Campers will take their lunches with them.
Whitlow Summer Camp is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought from home.
๐ฑ Are electronics allowed?
Electronics are only permitted on designated theme days. They should not be brought on regular camp days.
๐งโ๐ซ What are your supervision ratios?
We follow Forsyth County Schools guidelines to ensure proper supervision and a safe environment at all times.
๐ How are field trips supervised?
Campers travel using approved school transportation. Attendance is taken before departure, upon arrival, and before returning to campus. Staff members supervise campers at all times.
๐ง How will we receive updates?
