Will my child have a teacher on the first day of school?
Each student will be assigned a check-in and check-out teacher who will be responsible for attendance and dismissal for the first 2 days of school. Teacher reveals will take place in school on Monday, August 10th.
What is Kindergarten Round-up?
Please mark your calendars for Kindergarten Round Up on July 27th. This event gives our rising kindergarten students the chance to experience riding the school bus from their neighborhood bus stop to Sharon.
Key details:
One parent per child may ride the bus with their student.
Buses typically pick up around 8:30 a.m. and arrive at Sharon around 9:00 a.m.
Transportation will contact each family directly with their exact pickup time and location.
When the buses arrive at Sharon, students and families will be greeted by members of our administrative team, and each child will receive a small goodie bag. After the visit, students will ride the bus back home.
Families will have the opportunity to tour the school and visit classrooms during Open House on Tuesday, August 4th.
Do I attend Sharon Open House?
All families are encouraged to attend the school-wide open house on August 4th. At Open House, families will meet Kindergarten teachers, visit classrooms, and complete transportation information. You will also receive check-in/check-out bracelets for the 1st and 2nd day of school.
How does arrival and dismissal work?
Students will start and end the day with the same group. This will ensure your child's safety, which is our number one priority. Car/bus tags will be placed on backpacks during the first day of school to identify your child's transportation plan quickly.
When will my child be assigned a class?
Each child will be assigned a classroom teacher on Monday, August 10th. Parents will be invited to our Kindergarten Meet and Greet 3:30-4:30 pm to allow all parents to meet their child's teacher for the school year and learn more about Kindergarten.
What supplies will my child need for Kindergarten?
School supplies can be purchased here (link) and be picked up at Open House. Please bring your school supplies to Kindergarten Meet and Greet on Agust 10th 3:30-4:30.
