A Message from Mrs. Moity
Kelly Mill Families,
What a great week at Kelly Mill! Following our student early release, our staff had the opportunity to gather together for a meal, celebrate one another, and announce our 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year—Mr. Westbrook! Congratulations, Mr. Westbrook! We are so proud to have you represent Kelly Mill!
After celebrating, our staff got right to work—creating personalized growth measures, gathering evidence for our district internal review this fall, and collaborating to prepare for upcoming units. We are so fortunate to have time built into our calendar that allows our staff to step away from the daily pace and invest in their own professional growth and in the work that makes a difference for our students.
September is gearing up to be super busy! Here's what happening around KME...all before FALL BREAK:
Lunch visitors & classroom volunteers begin Tuesday, September 8! Be sure to visit Partner Connect to complete the required sign-up process and/or volunteer training. All visitors must present a valid ID or passport when checking in at school.
Become a “Fan” in Partner Connect so you are among the first to hear about upcoming volunteer opportunities and school events!
Patriot Day, Friday September 11th - All staff and students are encouraged to wear Red, White and Blue!
7 Mindset Family Night, Tuesday September 22nd
Boosterthon is coming September 23! Our annual school-wide PTO fundraiser is just around the corner, and we can't wait to get this fun event underway! Fundraising kick-off begins September 15th!
School Pictures will be Thursday, September 24th.
4th & 5th Grade Chorus: If your child loves music—or might discover a new passion for it—encourage them to join Ms. Fulkerson's chorus!
Family Night at the Braves Game: Our KME Chorus has the incredible honor of performing at the Braves game on September 24! This is a special opportunity reserved for fewer than 100 schools across Georgia, and for many years, KME was the only Forsyth County school selected. What a wonderful accomplishment! The Braves game is also a great family night out—a chance to support our amazing KME chorus while enjoying some quality time together!
There is so much good happening at Kelly Mill, and we are grateful to share it all with you. Let's keep choosing JOY, celebrating our kids, and making great things happen together!
Be sure to rest, relax and recharge with those you love!
Love,
Mrs. Moity

📣 Inclusive Playground Update: Help Us Keep the Momentum Going! 🚀
📣 Inclusive Playground Update: Help Us Keep the Momentum Going! 🚀
Kelly Mill Family, our mission to build a fully inclusive playground for every child in our county is in full swing! We recently celebrated a huge milestone—our very first $25,000 corporate donation from a generous local construction company!
To help us cross the finish line, we’re asking every KME family to help us make one connection. Do you own a business, work for a local company, or know a business leader in Forsyth County?
Through the PEACH Education Tax Credit, Georgia businesses and taxpayers can redirect their state income tax dollars directly to our playground project. It’s a dollar-for-dollar credit, meaning local businesses can make a huge, lasting impact for our kids at $0 net cost to their bottom line!
Whether it's connecting us with a corporate partner or making an individual family donation, every effort helps us move from the sidelines to the center of play.
