What is DECA?
DECA is a competitive club - there are several ways for students to compete; online testing, in person role plays, team decision making events and business/manual plan events. These events range from regional to national competitions that are local and overnight fieldtrips.
The technical, DECA, or Distributive Education Clubs of America, is a non-profit organization that prepares students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. DECA is an international academic club that offers programs for high school and college students. DECA's mission is to develop leadership, career readiness, and business skills. DECA offers a variety of activities and experiences, including:
Competitive events: DECA has more than 60 competitive events for high school students and more than 25 for college students.
School-based enterprises: Students can gain hands-on experience in a learning laboratory.
Educational conferences: Students can attend events and conferences to learn about business, culture, and lifestyle in other cities.
Industry partnerships: DECA partners with industries to give students real-world experience.
DECA's programs are authorized by the United States Congress, the United States Department of Education, and state, district, and international departments of education.
